BEAVER LOCAL LISBON — Beaver Local High School held graduation ceremonies on May 29 with seven students earning valedictorian status. Tim Shreeve, son of Tim and Diane Shreeve, Irish Ridge Road, East Liverpool; earned a 4.0 gpa and is ranked first out of 168 students. He was a three year member of the golf team, two year basketball team member, and ran track for one year. His academic awards and scholarships include, six years Summi Decum, Trustees Scholarship, and the John R. Ray and Mary Kathryn Ray Scholarship. He plans to study mechanical engineering at Youngstown State University. Brandon Lehnert, son of Peter and Michelle Lehnert, state Route 7, Lisbon, is also ranked first out of 168 students with a 4.1 gpa. At Beaver Local he participated in track, mock trial, Science Club, History Club, Ultimate Frisbee Club, and the Kent State-University Post-Secondary program, where he was named to the dean’s list for both 2010-11 semesters. He won the 2011 Outstanding Witness Award for mock trial at the district level and served as senior class vice-president. Lehnert earned 120 hours of community service by working at the high school track, and as a YMCA youth basketball and Pegasus track coach. His academic awards include six years Summi Decum and the Leslie H. Cochran University Scholar’s Scholarship. He plans to major in exercise science/pre-physical therapy at Youngstown State University. Casey Ward, daughter of Harry and Pamela Pease, Union Ridge Road, Rogers, earned a 4.0 gpa and is ranked first out of 168 students. Her academic awards and scholarships include three years Summi Decum, National Honor Society, and the Hor-

atio Alger Scholarship. She is a member of Spanish Club, Art Club, Interact Club, Varsity B Spirit Club, SADD, English Honors, Masquer’s Club, yearbook editor, and has been Student Council president for three years. She earned 101 hours of community service by staffing high school basketball concession stands, the Lake Mount Church of Christ Vacation Bible School, BLHS football stadium clean-up, and hot dog sales. She plans to study psychology at The Ohio State University, where she will enter as a sophomore after earning credits at Kent State University. Stephanie Allmon, daughter of Jeff and Lori Allmon, Berkshire Road, East Liverpool, is also a class valedictorian with a 4.0 gpa. She was a cheerleader from grades 3-9 and participates in gymnastics. Allmon plans to attend the University of Akron to major in pharmacy, Shreeve eventually earning a doctorate in pharmacy at Northeastern Ohio Universities Colleges of Medicine. Lori Ridgley, daughter of Gary and Jayne Ridgley, Bell Road, Lisbon, is ranked first with a 4.0 gpa out of 168 students. Her extracurricular activities include Lehnert Science Club, Spanish Club, Art Club, English Honors and Varsity B Spirit Club. National Honor Society. Academically her awards are six years Summi Decum and National Honor Society. She earned 133.6 hours of community service by Ward tutoring at Ero Dell, Boardman, and traveling with the Wellsville First Christian Church on South Carolina Mission Trips. Ridgley plans to study biology, pre-veterinary at Youngstown State University to become a veterinary technician.

Andrew Eisenhart, son of Greg and Anne Eisenhart, East Liverpool, was also named a valedictorian, earning a 4.0 gpa. He was a six year Summi Decum member, National Honor Society member, Allmon and served as a Buckeye Boys State delegate. He was a four year soccer letterman and one year track letterman. He was also named Player of the Year. A youth ministry member, he collected 121.5 community service hours. He volunteered at other Beaver Ridgley Local schools, East Liverpool Community Hospital, Immaculate Conseption Church, Beacon of Hope, and NAACP youth group. Eisenhart plans to major in chemistry at either Seton Hill University or Wheeling Jesuit University. His goal is to become an osteopathic Eisenhart physician. Jesse Eisenmann, son of Paul and Susan Eisenmann, Sprucevale Road, East Liverpool, is the final valedictorian with a 4.1 gpa. He serves as National Honor Society Eisenmann vice-president and was a four year Summi Decum member. Eisenmann earned a yearly scholarship to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where he plans to major in aerospace engineering. Being named class salutatorian was Audree Rayl, daughter of Doug and Lisa Rayl, Calcutta-Smith Ferry Road, East Liverpool. She earned a 3.98 gpa

and was a member of National Honor Society. She was also a member of Varsity B Spirit Club, SADD, and Spanish Club. She volunteered at the Catholic Charities Senior Center, American Rayl Red Cross, Beaver Local Middle School, Community Resource Center, and Beaver Local Administration Building, earning 132.25 hours of community service. Rayl plans to attend Kent State University-East Liverpool to major in human development and family studies with the hopes of eventually earning a master’s in psychology.

Caroline Kimpel, daughter of Bob and Julie Kimpel, Terra Verda Avenue, Columbiana, is co-valedictorian of her class with Kimpel a 4.0 gpa. She was involved with student government, National Honor Society, Interact Club, French Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, soccer, cross country, track, school play, yearbook, and broadcast journalism. Her awards MacGillivray include All A Honor Roll, four academic letters, WFMJ StudentAthlete of the Week, Rotary NHS, Buckeye Girls State delegate, as well as the Ted Brookhart Memorial and Athletic Booster Fowler Scholarships.
