PROGRAMME AIM De Montfort University’s MBA (Health Management) programme aims to equip managers and administrators from all sectors with knowledge and insight of international healthcare practices, industry-relevant management skills to become leaders in healthcare organisations.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND Professionals working in Healthcare Sectors Business managers and professionals in the field of Administration, Medical, Operations, Allied, Nursing and Ancillary Support Services.

Entry Requirements

­ Bachelor Degree in any discipline with two (2) years of experience in Healthcare; or ­ Diploma in any discipline with four (4) years of experience in Healthcare ­ AND/OR - IELTS score 6.5 or equivalent

Professionals from all sectors Senior, Middle or Executive level staff from any field or background, desiring to make a ‘career switch or transition’ into healthcare management and administration role.

Entry Requirements

­ Bachelor degree in any discipline with 3 years of working experience in any sector; or ­ Diploma in any discipline with 5 to 6 years of working experience in any sector. ­ AND/OR - IELTS score 6.5 or equivalent

MODE & DURATION ­ The Programme is delivered over 20 months ­­ Part-time classes will be held in the evenings of weekdays and daytime on weekends. ­ The duration for each module is 36 hours.

VISITING LECTURERS CEO, COO, Executive Directors, Directors, Heads of Departments, Senior Managers, Managers presently working in various healthcare settings, would be invited as guest speakers to share their expertise in Healthcare operations and management.

ASSESSMENTS ­ By course work, project presentations and time-limited case studies.

AWARD Upon completion of all modules/180 credits, students will be awarded with De Montfort University’s Master of Business Administration (Health Management). Students may also choose to exit early from the programme with a: ­ P ostgraduate Diploma in Business Administration (Health Management) upon earning 120 credits ­ P ostgraduate Certificate in Business Administration (Health Management) upon earning 60 credits

CAREER PROSPECTS Students with a Master of Business Administration (Heath Management) will be able to assume leadership and managerial positions in Hospitals, Clinics, Private Physician Practice, Pharmaceutical Companies, Public Health Departments, Rehabilitation /Day Care Centre, Eldercare Facilities, Nursing Homes, Ministry of Health and other related healthcare sectors.
