World famous, celebrity chef Raymond Blanc officially opens his latest restaurant in the Marriott Hotel Hale Barns, bringing Brasserie Blanc to the hotel and serving his acclaimed classic French cuisine.

The star-studded launch was attended by Ampika Pickston and Leanne Brown from the Real Housewives of Cheshire, Julia Goulding and Hayley Tamaddon from Coronation Street and latest Hollyoaks hot heartthrob David Tag along with Sarah Jayne Dunn and Jazmine Franks. CHARITY FASHION SHOW

Laundry Boutique Altrincham

Raha Foundation have teamed up with Laundry Boutique and J’adore Models to give guests an exclusive fashion show featuring Laundry Boutique’s latest Autumn/Winter collection. Raha Foundation is a newly set up non-profit charity that supports children and young adults in poverty to achieve their full potential. Funds raised at the event will go towards Raha Foundations projects in the UK and Kenya. www.rahafoundation.co.uk/events

SUE’S SUMMER SOIREE

Hilltop Country House

Sue’s Summer Soiree was a sold-out black tie ball that celebrated the vibrant life of Susan Jenkins; adored wife, mother of 4, and grandmother of 10 - who passed away in June this year after a short and hard battle against pancreatic cancer.

The event featured games, complimentary sweets tables & cigar tables, live music by Mia Lawrie, silent & live auctions, and a raffle that raised £1,000’s. With thanks to the kind generosity of so many Cheshire & Manchester businesses, and Hilltop’s resident DJ Emil who had guests dancing till way past Hilltop’s closing

In aid of the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund - a small charity dedicated to defeating PC by funding innovative research. The night was a huge success with lots of fun laughter & love in the room - a total testament to the wonderful spirit of Sue Jenkins. The total raised was£13,790.28 www.facebook.com/suessummersoiree

Variety, the Children’s Charity LEGENDS OF INDUSTRY AWARDS 2018

The Hilton Hotel, Deansgate, Manchester

This prestigious annual event honours and celebrates those who have achieved outstanding success in their chosen fields of business and Industry whilst raising crucial funds for Variety, the Children’s Charity, to support sick, disabled and disadvantaged children and young people. Variety, the Children’s Charity, is hosting the event for the sixth consecutive year to raise funds to provide positive experiences for sick, disabled and disadvantaged children and young people. Variety provides practical help, including Variety Sunshine Coaches, Variety wheelchairs and specialist equipment, through its grants programmes, in addition to creating memorable childhood experiences through the Variety at Work scheme. www.variety.org.uk
