Syosset HS students chosen to perform at conference
Syosset High School students attended the 26th Annual New York State Theatre Education Association Student Conference in early January. Two of the 17 attendees auditioned and were chosen to showcase their special performances before the entire conference of more than 600 peers: senior Mara Sparacino and junior Sally Jamieson.

The New York State Theatre Education Association, a statewide organization of theatre educators, promotes and supports theatre education for students in grades pre-K through
12. This conference creates an opportunity for high school students from all over New York State to come together for a full weekend of learning and peer interaction. These students attended workshops given by colleges, universities and other theatre professionals, as well as networking with one another and experiencing a variety of performances throughout the conference.
This is the 12th year that Syosset High School sent student representatives to the NYSTEA Student Conference.
