Car hits home in Hicksville

A car drove into a home on Gables Drive in Hicksville on Wednesday, March 1, at 12 p.m., causing severe damage, but no injuries.

According to Nassau County Police, Second Precinct police officers responded to a vehicle that had crashed into a residence on Gables Drive. The male operator, 23, had accidentally lost control of his vehicle while traveling southbound on Gables Drive. The home was occupied at the time of the accident, but there were no injuries reported. The home suffered severe structural damage. The Town of Oyster Bay Building Department responded and deemed the home uninhabitable.
