Hicksville Historical Society to meet June 27
The Hicksville Historical Society will hold a general meeting on Tuesday, June 27, at 7:30 p.m. at the Hicksville Public Library.
During the meeting, Denward Collins will present a program titled: “ World War II and Life at the Homefront in Hicksville, as Witnessed by Denward W. Collins, Jr. ”
Please plan to attend to express gratitude to the war heroes in the community and to learn how their families supported them.
Admission is free for everyone. Refreshments will be served. Please bring your friends.

We’re looking for writers in our community to compose ar ticles on local topics, opinions, reviews, worthy places to visit on Long Island, and even pieces of fiction. We aim to feature at least one new article and writer each week in our Discovery magazine section.
