Jericho schools breakfast exemption

We will take a look at the history and legacy of Broadway’s record-breakers and their worldwide influence. Stephen will discuss the 35 year run of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the

Opera, the near 27 year run of the revival of Chicago and the 26 year run of The Lion King. We’ll look at how these musicals have changed Broadway and the international theatre.

2:00pm Virtual: The Hollywood Songbook of Frank Sinatra with Brian Rose

Frank Sinatra was the greatest singer to set foot in Hollywood. His voice was so mesmerizing in person and so evocative in recordings that he was ideally suited for the big screen. His 100 musical performances in motion pictures revealed a vocalist who recognized how the camera could enhance his artistry as much as the microphone. Though he would have his ups and downs, both professionally and personally, his ability to magically convey the inner heart of whatever he sang remained undiminished on film. This talk will survey Sinatra’s Hollywood musical career, which began with uncredited appearances with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra and continued through his celebrated days with the Rat Pack.

7:00pm Make Your Own Wormery exemption from the breakfast program for these schools for the 2023-2024 school year. The results of the survey indicate that more than 80 percent of those responding would not use the program.
