Our favourite Essex girl, Chloe Lewis, along with the Little Mistress team jetted off to sunny Cape Town to shoot the new collection in absolutely stunning locations! From the cutest colour blocked houses to stunning beaches and a palm tree oasis, the Little Mistress team bring you a little snapshot of summer and plenty of SS16 styling inspiration in Chloe’s new exciting collection! BELUGA: This was Chloe’s favourite spot out of the whole trip to grab a quick lunch or dinner after shooting. The South African and Asian fusion restaurant had sushi, dim sum and fresh seafood on tap! Chloe’s fave dish was the peanut satay squid- which the whole team eventually got addicted to!

Vibrant with Shoreditch vibes and the best cocktails in town. Fairy-lit gardens set in an oasis of palm trees were dotted around this cocktail bar. It’s got a chilled vibe and a reasonably priced cocktail menu- I would highly recommend!

This is where we shot the Chloe Lewis Swimwear campaign which is now live on our website. Chloe braved the cold Atlantic seas at the beach but the scorching sun which hits around 10am definitely made up for it! This was one of Chloe’s favourite sun bathing spots with its sheltered bay and stunning landscape.

THE OLD BISCUIT MILL:
If you are into fashion, music or art then this is the place to be! So many indie craftsman and skandi design houses nestled into this old warehouse space. The market is best for; brunch, handmade jewellery, straight out of uni fashion designers and handbags.

If you love shopping and want the classic high-street brands as well as indie labels then this is the place to go. Head into the old-school Woolworths for a super cheap but luxurious pedi, much needed after multiple shoot days!

This area in Cape Town is a must see for any culture vultures out there! The place has amazing architecture, a vibrant community and stunning natural light (for all those cute instagram pics!) Head there first thing in the morning though because after 3 in the afternoon it gets pretty crazy.

MY PERFECT DATE NIGHT... Would include quality time with my hubby! I don’t need any special arrangement, because we always like to make it special at home, with home-made dinner and a bottle of prosecco, for example. We light up a candle or two and play some soft music in the background while we talk about our day. Of course, I never say no to any kind of surprises!

I can always find exactly what I am looking for there! MY DATE NIGHT BEAUTY REGIME... If I have a special evening to go to, I would first of all take care of my face, so I can feel it fresh and clean in order to put my make-up on more smoothly. I’ll afterwards do my hair, probably with some loose curls, and pick my outfit, if I don’t already have it planned out. MY GO-TO DATE NIGHT OUTFIT... Would probably be something very chic but comfortable at the same time, as I would not want to feel like anything else but relaxed, so I can enjoy every moment.

DR.TERRI ORBUCH IF I COULD GIVE ONE PIECE OF ADVICE TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR LOVE.. I have two pieces of advice:
“IDENTIFY THE QUALITIES YOU WANT IN A PARTNER” Do you know what the right person would look like if you met him/her today? Ask yourself “what do I need or want in a partner?” You should write down fifteen very specific qualities (no more, no less) that you would like in a romantic partner. It’s important to be specific because qualities like “funny,” “being good with children,” or “tall” mean something different to each and every one of us. Being specific will push you to reflect and think about which qualities you really want in a partner and which ones don’t matter at all.
“START EVERY DAY WITH AN OPTIMISTIC ATTITUDE AND REMEMBER TO SMILE.” People are attracted to others who are positive and optimistic. And, my research finds that those singles who are optimistic and hopeful are more likely to actually find love. THE PERFECT FORMULA FOR LASTING LOVE.. Show appreciation to your partner often to make them feel special. My research shows that when you make your partner feel loved and appreciated regularly, with simple words of praise or small acts of kindness, the relationship becomes stronger. Learn to listen. This sounds easy enough, but most of us don’t do it. We’re too busy “building our case” and thinking about how we’re going to respond to what’s being said. Hearing someone is one thing, but listening to them is quite another; listening takes time and practice. Ask questions and get to know your partner again – what makes your partner tick? Share laughter together. Study after study shows that sharing laughter and fun with you partner builds intimacy and happiness. Fight fair. Don’t argue destructively. Keep the romance alive. Boredom eats away at happiness in a relationship, so add newness and mystery to your relationship often, and keep the spark or romance alive!
MY RELATIONSHIP PHILOSOPHY.. My relationship philosophy is to focus on the positives in your relationship, rather than the problems. By focusing on the positives, you strengthen what’s already working well. It propels you forward in your relationship and when stressors arise (or conflict), you’re better able to handle them constructively and in a healthy manner.
MY TOP TIP FOR GETTING THE ATTENTION OF YOUR CRUSH.. Use body language to show interest. When we’re interested in someone romantically, we often give non-verbal signals to the person long before we say a single word. Studies show that your eye contact, smile, posture (how you carry yourself), and body language all convey a message of “Hey, I’m interested in you!” THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE ON LOVE THAT I WAS EVER GIVEN.. In order to have the ability to love someone else, you first need to love yourself! THE BEST WAY TO MEET A POTENTIAL DATE.. Join a group activity. Any activity that involves meeting and spending regular time with people who have similar interests can easily set the stage for new love. Studies show that mere contact with a person (or repeatedly seeing someone) often increases how much others like you, a phenomenon psychologists call the “mere exposure effect.” Have you ever been a member of a book club, a religious group, or a gym fitness class? Are you an animal lover and need to sign your dog up for an eight-week obedience course? When you join a group or participate in an activity on a regular basis, you’ll feel more comfortable talking with and asking questions of the people who are there. THE PERFECT VALENTINES DATE.. You and your partner plan an activity where you can spend some quality time together and talk. Laugh, ask questions, talk about the future, and get to know each other again. Stroll through a museum or art gallery, take a cooking class or dance class together, wine tasting at your favourite vineyard or restaurant, take a hike through a nature trail together, or eat at a secluded quiet restaurant.
