lane for. Yes, it is an important piece of

the puzzle. Yes, you want to look BOMB but it isn't worth stressing about. So, let's dive in to this head first and get you ready to KILL IT in the outfits department!

SO, WHERE DO I START? it I'm glad you asked! I always tell my clients to start with the woman. I know, it's completely against what you probably normally do, but I have found that picking your outfit is usually a major stressor so let's knock it out first so everything else just flows. When it comes to picking your outfit, think simple but a step up from your normal attire. So if you wear jeans and a tshirt everyday, think jeans and a cute top instead. If you have an idea of the color palette you would like to use, start with that. If you don't know your color palette, flip to the next page and find out how to pick it. For photos, it is best to have something form fitting. Of course, you don't have to find something that hugs every part, even those you don't want to highlight, but a loose fitting dress with no form is typically exaggerated and ends up looking like a moo moo...... unless that's what you are going for, I'd stay away girl. As for the style, this may seem obvious but pick something you feel AMAZING in. Something that won't have you thinking "omg do my arms look fat" or one of the many other things we worry about when we think of photos. If your arms aren't something you want to show, consider long sleeves. I have a whole pinterest board with style tips for your body type. Take a look here for some inspo! So, we've established the first step.... YOU BOO!

What's Next? Now that we have you all taken care of, it's time to pick your color palette if you haven't already. This is probably my favorite part. I'm sure you can figure my favorite palette out just from this booklet!

The first place I start when I choose a color palette is your home. After all, the photos should be proudly displayed on your walls to tell your love story (cough cough)! Picking the color palette from there ensures the photos blend well with your decor and vibe.

If you aren't sure what your palette is, text me a photo of your living room and I will help you pick it because I GOT YOU BOO! I also made a pinterest board dedicated JUST to color palettes here. Thank me later!

NOW FOR THE REST OF 'EM We've gotten you all taken care of, so now it's time to put bae together. Here is where the fine balance of patterns and solids come in to play. Here are some key points to keep in mind: Matching outfits tend to blend together in photos When picking solids, choose different tones if you plan to both wear the same color Don't forget about accessories. Bright, Neon, and busy patterns tend to distract. Muted colors photograph sooo much better. If you are a hot pink fan, think muted pink as a good option.

Now for the fun stuff Let's talk about the final touches for a moment. I'm talkin' hair, I'm talkin makeup, I'm talking nails... and don't forget to shave them legs! That winter coat you've been growing ain't cute for photos girl. I mean I get it but...

HAIR You may notice, most of those dreamy sun drenched photos on my site that made you want to pick me in the first place have movement. I LOVE a good wind breeze through the hair or a cute dance with your sexy love with your hair flowing freely. This is easy to achieve when your hair is down and not sprayed firm with hairspray. Of course, we all need a little help but as you point that can to your pretty locks, think beach hair not Dolly Parton. Make sense? Tight curls are cute for naturally curly girls but I think a big loose or beach wave looks AMAZZAZING in photos. A wand works wonders for this. Need some help? I got you! Here's a pinterest board I created just for hair looks!

MAKEUP You may have heard that dark makeup looks better in photos. I get why this was said in the past because the camera does lighten things up BUT it also gives some pretty good contrast meaning that dark contour and blinding highlight will be WAY more intense. So, the key here is to take your everyday makeup just 1-2 steps up. Contour and highlight are ok of course but no need to beat that pretty face! Just enough to bring out your natural features. In my honest opinion, I really think an everyday makeup looks great and really allows us to see YOU! Now the important things to note with makeup is that a luminous powder gets whiter. I tell clients to swap that out for a matte finishing powder instead if you want to mattify but don't really plan to look ghostly. If you are struggling with dry skin (holla!) its not a bad idea to do a moisturizing masque the night before to plump that gorgeous skin up. My favorites are the masque cloths from Sephora or even Target. If you need some visual ideas, I OF COURSE have a pinterest board for that here.

NAILS Although nails don't play a HUGE part in your session, I am a sucker for a close up of hands and arms intertwined. I don't think it's absolutely necessary to get get your nails did BUT a simple polish and clean up will go a long way. It's best to avoid really bright colors so that your eyes dont go straight to your nails when you see your gallery. Light pinks, nudes, muted tones, and even clear are best. Here's some color inspiration and a few at home manicure tutorials!

Nails CONFIDENCE!

If you plan on tanning, be conscience of your tan line and try to do this a week before your session. If you want to slap on some self tanner, do this 3+ days before to avoid orange skin or any mishaps!

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED I hope this guide helped you takle the hardest part of the session. Now the rest is easy! If you still need some assistance, don't worry. I am here when you need me. I have a pinterest board full of outfit ideas here. I'm also ready and willing to shop for you! You can text me your sizes and budget and I will send you links to the perfect outfits to buy.
