REAL LIGHT

Three designers let their lighting projects shine A room often doesn’t come to life until a designer sees it in real light. When fans of Larger Than Light’s Facebook page (www.facebook/largerthanlight) were asked to let their best lighting projects shine in our “Let It Shine” contest, dozens of project submissions incorporating Troy Lighting, Corbett Lighting, and Hudson Valley Lighting® fixtures flooded in from across the country. While each entry shined bright, we narrowed it down to three winning designs. FINALIST

Cesto by Corbett Lighting Lakeway, TX

Designer: Janna Paulson, PPDS Design + Interiors, Austin, TX Photo: Merrick Ales Photography Inspiration: “The style of the room is classical with a nod toward mid century modern. We chose Cesto because of its classical look. Everything in the room is clean and orderly, so the fixture threw light patterns on all the walls, which softened the effect. We also liked the scale, shape and mass of the pendant. It is a beautiful fixture.” Contact: www.ppds-inc.com

FINALIST

Barcelona by Corbett Lighting Gold River, CA

Designer: Kerrie Kelly, Kerrie Kelly Design Lab, Sacramento, CA Photo: Brian Kellogg Photography Inspiration:“The Barcelona suspension fixture was ideal for our homeowner’s dining room. She has traveled the world and discovered that she appreciates a monochromatic backdrop to let beautiful pieces shine. Just like the jewelry she loves, the Barcelona is not only sophisticated but adds instant sparkle and personality to the space. It is truly the key signature piece that allows her dining room to ‘sing.’” Contact: www.kerriekelly.com
