Two men, John Groom (pictured on the left) and the 7th Earl of Shaftsbury dedicated their work to help improve the lives of disabled people and created charities that bore their names .
In 2007 these two charities joined together and became Livability. As the UK’s largest Christian Charity we offer a wide range of services for disabled adults and children.

Meet the Team Hi Everyone, my name is Kayleigh and I am Livability’s User Involvement Case Coordinator.
I used to be a Service User at Lifestyle Choices South West.
I have been working at Livability for over 2 years now, aside from my day job I also write a Blog on Livability’s Service User Network.
My role is to make sure that you are happy with what Livability does. I will do this by visiting and speaking with you. I look forward to meeting you all soon!
The Hub! We are always thinking of ways that we can improve our work and give you the best service possible.
So we have grouped our services into Hubs. We hope that this will help decision making quicker and easier.

The Quizmaster! George’s Story Hello my name is George, and I am a Service User with Livability’s Lifestyle Choices Southwest project., where thanks to their help I go bowling once a week. This has changed my life for the better after a stroke left me feeling isolated.
As a thank you to Lifestyle Choices I held 2 Quiz fundraising afternoon, and raised £183 for the Lifestyle Choices Project. It’s a fantastic service. I hope to be organising many more in the future!

Dolphin Court Bake Cakes for Red Cross Congratulations to the staff and residents of Dolphin Court who raised a fantastic £70 for the British Red Cross by baking lots of cakes!!
