Artificial pond for aquatic plants study
The project requirement was to design a campus with accomodation for both students and faculty members. The campus was to hold both graduate and post-graduate courses. It was also to include open areas for cultivation and a pond for aquatic plants study. The concept behind the design was to create an environment where the students of all the courses came together and interacted in one open space.
Open green areas for student’s interaction and informal space.
Pre-cast concrete bridges connecting the first floor.
Visual linkage was given primary importance as the academic Blocks were designed with big cut-outs to allow more openess and penetration of natural light. The entire concept revolves around green and sustainable architecture to embed the idea of agriculture studies with green and sustainibility. Pockets of green spaces were desined to create beautiful spaces for the interaction of students and a casual space for relaxation. One of the key concept idea of these open spaces was to create a space for the development of an articificial pond as was the design requirement.
With the open spaces in mind the whole academic block took shape and a seamless layout was planned which was inter-connected in all aspects.
THE AUBADE Manipal, Karnataka, India Academic Project Year 2 Semester 3
The Aubade is an integration of new contemporary architecture with the spatial design of the Bauhaus movement. The house was designed for a family of three. The key design concept is the double height living room, which allows visual connection to the rest of the house. Major attention has been given in incorporating natural lighting and ventilation in all rooms and spaces. The skylight above the staircase gives an aesthetical impression on the ascend to the upper floor. With the use of minimal materials such as exposed concrete and bricks, helps in cutting cost in plastering and repainting, and is highly sustainable. The design was heavily inspired from the Bauhaus movement which is basically form follows function. The primary concept was to keep a simple yet striking design which can be easily produced.

FARMER’S RELIEF & RESEARCH CENTER Hubli, Karnataka, India Academic Project Year 3 Semester 5
The requirements of the project were to design a mixed-use high rise consisting of a chilli auction house and all purpose stop for farmers and agriculturists. The building was to include a support facility for farmers in need of assistance. The concept behind the design is jenga play of floors. The rotation of each floor and alternate vertical placement creates an unique elevation in itself. The building was split into 3 towers, which accomodated the offices while the ground floor has the auction hall. The 3 towers are inter-connected by bridges on each floor. One major requirment was to sustain the existing heritage chimney structure at the site. Hence the orientation of the building is done in such a way that it facilitates the view and use of the chimney.

The atrium design development was the primary task assigned to me at sincere architects. The principal architect gave his concept sketches and design principles which was developed by me on autocad and sketchup. It was a daunting task as the principal architect would several times change the design and some other changes would occur due to the site constraints. Overall this project helped me evolve as an architect as I was able to get the atrium construction run smoothly as per the architect’s ideas.
