BARCELONA SAGRERA LINEAR PARK BARCELONA, SPAIN, 2011-14
A new green diagonal axis extends into the very heart of XXI century Barcelona. It is a natural path for pedestrians and bicycles as protagonists of a new era of a greener and more habitable metropolis, which is in direct contact with its natural surroundings. El CamĂ Comtal will finally connect the Sea and the Mountains, Nature and City in Barcelona. It strengthens the landscape experience for those approaching the sea from the coastal range through the city. A generous shaded way for pedestrians, bicycles and skaters who will discover the different environments.

MASTERPLAN Masterplan: West 8, Aldayjover, RCR
2012-13
El Parc del Camí Comtal gives a breath to the bustling city of Cerdá, introducing a new green SLOW cross as a counterpWoint to today’s urban frenzy and activity represented by the other Diagonal. It is also a milestone track where landscapes, architecture, history and the installation of water fountains enrich its tour and make a memorial to the old Rec Comtal infrastructure that was carrying once the natural water resource to the city The visitor who arrives to the new Parc del Cami Comtal either by train from elsewhere in Europe, by bike from the mountains, or on foot or by public transport from the city, will experience the benefits of a green welcome carpet to the city replacing the old iron scar where the new La Sagrera linear park reflects the identity of its historical neighborhoods, allowing at the same time, an optimum green connection between landscape and city.

SANT ANDREU MOSAIC Definitive Design: West 8

2013-14
The Mosaic of St. Andrew is a slope caused by the difference in height between the top of the tunnels and the street level. A floral Mosaic extends along it, remembering the legacy of the textile industry in the neighbourhood, a symbol of prosperity in the early twentieth century Barcelona .

MALECON PUERTO VALLARTA PUERTO VALLARTA, MEXICO, 2011
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT. REALISED. Malecón serves a long term strategic plan to enhance the local identity of Puerto Vallarta and to promote its position in today’s tourism industry. The kilometer long waterfront encourages tourists and villagers to mingle, thus reinforcing the social heart of the old village. It became a place where locals and tourists can mix together under the local vegetation with a view on the ocean, both day and night. The Malecon claimes identity and tradition of today in the heart of Puerto Vallarta,.
URBAN DESIGN. PUBLIC SPACES
URBAN DESIGN. PUBLIC SPACES
CONCEPT PUBLIC REALM To be able to create a contemporary public space waterfront in the Malecón, pedestrians and their comfort were prioritized. A total of three-hundred Foxtail Palms were introduced and planted in a marine shaped inspired planter to generate shade.
1. Public realm principal elements
Still, it has kept its local character by embracing the traditional river stone paving technique with a design inspired by the local Huichol culture. This design is referred to as the “Mosaico Vallarta”. It was inspired by a masterpiece commissioned to the prominent Huichol artist, in which the artist narrates the Origin of Vallarta; a place where Motherland and Ocean meets.

FREIHAM NORD PARK MUNICH , GERMANY 2014
SCHEMATIC DESIGN. IN PROCESS. The park is located in Freiham North, the last substantial urban development to take place in Munich. Located on the western outskirts of the city, this attractive new district will accommodate around 20,000 people by the year 2040. The new district is named for the Freiham Estate, a place first mentioned in the 12th Century, which remains an icon of contemporary Bavarian life. Freiham Nord Park design plays an integral part in ensuring a smooth transition between the existing development in the adjoining suburbs and the future growth of Freiham North.

TOPOGRAPHY Cutting and extending the existing topography helps to create playful spaces, so the topography is always changing, sometimes smoothly, other times abruptly, creating steep hills where playgrounds take shape.
PLAYGROUNDS Creating a playful environment is a key priority in Freiham. A system of interconnected open spaces creates a unified public realm complete with numerous and varied play and recreational opportunities.

LIGHTS OVER KRUUNUVUORENRANTA HELSINKI, FINLAND, 2012-13
SCHEMATIC DESIGN FOR PUBLIC REALM. The Archipelago has a lot to offer. The Gulf of Finland and the countless islands floating in it are an ideal home for flora and fauna. and for people to leisure. During the winter, the scenery changes completely, the water is frozen and covered with snow for months. We take all this site potentials for the design of Public Realm, defining two different public spaces. One is defined by its urban atmosphere with natural elements and the other has a rather natural atmosphere completed with urban elements.
LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE
LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE
CONCEPT PUBLIC REALM The locations of the natural characterized areas are mainly derived from the existing natural resources and qualities such as existing bedrock, new trees and soil but also topography. The oil harbour has caused damage to the original state of the site. In our proposal we will ‘repair’ the site as much as we can by excavating and/or adding material. The principle materials will be planting and boulders. Creating a natural shoreline is relatively cheaper than a fi rmly built quay wall.
1. Landscape strategy: recovering the bedrock layer and accessibility 2. Activating the shoreline. Rocky beach and multifunctional harbor. 3. Central park: urban park for the neighborhood with a natural atmosphere. Connecting shorelines. 4. Winter scenery
