I am thrilled to be working at such an iconic venue in the nationally and internationally renowned cultural city of Liverpool. This new guide showcases the eclectic range of top class entertainment we have coming up here at the Empire. One of this summer’s highlights is, without doubt, Legally Blonde The Musical - the first ever UK tour of this sparkling, Olivier award winning show, premieres right here in Liverpool in July. All activities are delivered by our highly trained team of performing arts and industry professionals and can be tailored to meet the needs of your individual group. Workshops can take place at the theatre or in your school or meeting place. Here we present a selection of what we have on offer this season.
SHOW BASED WORKSHOPS This season we are pleased to be offering a number of amazing activities for everyone to get involved with focusing on the issues raised in the shows. EMPIRE THEATRE PERFORMING ARTS CLUBS AUDITIONS Our groups meet weekly during term time at the Empire Theatre and involve young people working towards a number of performances under the guidance of our practitioners. This year our groups have taken part in the 2011 Dance Festival at the Regent Theatre Stoke and staged a production of Billy Elliot at the Empire as part of the Billy Youth Theatre Project. We are now recruiting new members aged 11 - 19 for our junior, senior Youth Theatres and Youth Dance Company. Auditions will be held in early September.
