Director Ellen McDougall Designer Fly Davis

A frustrated mother, a daughter lost in her imagination, and a son intent on rebellion.

Laura barely survives it, a shadow of herself, clinging desperately to her only solace, a beloved glass menagerie.

Video Ian William Galloway

By night, Tom lives the life of an assassin, an outlaw, a czar of the underworld, via his trips to the movies. By day, he works in a factory. In the apartment he shares with mother Amanda and sister Laura, the air hangs thick with the scent of sickly sweet flowers and his mother’s oppressive nostalgia.

Set in 1942, against a backdrop of heartache and quiet bravery, Flare Path paints an evocative portrait of life in wartime Britain for the RAF bomber crews, their wives and sweethearts, who were left awaiting their return. RAF pilot Teddy and his wife, former actress Patricia, have their marriage tested to the limit by the surprise arrival of her ex-lover Peter Kyle. Highly charged drama with a truly authentic taste of the fear, camaraderie and passion combine when an unexpected

and dangerous mission over Germany puts Patricia at the centre of an emotional conflict as unpredictable as the war in the skies. Recently seen in London’s West End, this brand new production will be directed by rising star Justin Audibert. Starring Leon Ockenden (Mr Selfridge), Lark Rise to Candleford’s Olivia Hallinan and Heartbeat’s Phillip Franks, this major revival comes from the producers “I was very behind the hit production of moved by this Birdsong which was at the play. Tue 17 Nov to Sat 21 Nov

Northern Broadsides in partnership with Harrogate Theatre Director Conrad Nelson

A rich, romantic fable of jealousy, love and redemption. King Leontes falsely accuses his Queen of infidelity with his closest friend. He proclaims their newborn daughter a bastard and condemns the innocent to death. But the child, Perdita, survives.

The Winter’s Tale will transport you from the dark court of a jealous king to the bright sunshine of a rustic festival, where country girls sing saucy songs and a Prince can utter marriage vows to a lowly shepherd’s daughter… and we believe it.

What follows is a beautiful and beguiling love story where the cold hand of winter gives way to the lightness and vibrancy of spring. A joyous tale culminating in forgiveness, love and happiness.

You are in expert hands with the award winning Northern Broadsides, whose rich tradition of daringly theatrical story-telling, performed by a charismatic cast of actor musicians, will warm your heart and lift your spirits.

Whether it is small groups, or larger coach parties, our dedicated Group Bookings Service allows you to provisionally make a 3 week reservation without any obligation. Our flexible service helps to make a group night out to the theatre a great night out to the theatre. Call 0151 708 3733 or email groups@everymanplayhouse.com to take advantage of flexible booking times and generous group discounts.

Subject to availability we can exchange tickets for another performance of the same show; provided tickets are returned for sale at least 24 hours before the performance. We may provide a re-sale service only in the event of a sold out performance. The value of any resold ticket will be placed as credit on the customer’s account and can be redeemed against the purchase of tickets for a future show. No alternative refund by cash, card or cheque is available. Reselling a ticket for personal or commercial gain makes it void.

Please arrive in good time for the performance. Every effort will be made to ensure the admittance of latecomers at a suitable break in the performance but admission cannot always be guaranteed. This may also apply to customers who leave their seat during the performance.

Only one discount is available per ticket, and restrictions on discounts may exist in certain seating areas or at particular performances eg previews and weekend evenings. All discounts are subject to availability and proof of eligibility may be required. For a full list of our terms and conditions please ask our Box Office or visit our website everymanplayhouse.com
