Season’s Greetings Everyone! It's that time of year again, we can all throw down our books, pat ourselves on the back for a good term’s hard work and go home to eat, drink and be merry! It's your opportunity to forget about uni for a few weeks, but there's one thing that you shouldn't forget about this festive season—looking after your house and your belongings! This is the time of year when burglars know there will be a lot of empty student houses around, so ensure your property is not left vulnerable. Take a couple of precautions before returning back home. KEEP YOUR HOME SAFE Going home for Christmas? Let your landlord know when you are leaving and coming back. Take valuables such as laptops/tablets and games consoles home with you or leave them with a trusted friend/neighbour. Don't forget to lock up, make sure all windows and doors are secure and make sure your burglar alarm is on. Having friends/relatives stay? Under the terms of your contract you are responsible for their actions. Stop your pipes from freezing and bursting, programme your heating to come on for 1 hour a day.

Wishing you a happy and safe festive season from: Liverpool Guild of Students; Sean Turner, Oba Akinwale, Ananda Mohan & Yasmin Gasimova LiverpoolSU; Aisling Davis, Summer Jette-Gray, Daniel Crombleholme & Jamie Bennett Liverpool Hope SU; Kira Cox, Pranay Raj Shakya & Ayo Akinrele Liverpool Student Homes; Mandy, Ian, James, Dan & Lorna
