Suzanne Rende

Since painting her first mural on her bedroom wall at 12 years old, Suzanne has been hooked on murals. She painted murals throughout high school and college, graduating from Hussian School of Art in Philadelphia, PA in 1993. Her full-time mural arts career began in 1996 while living in Southern California, where she worked for several years, mostly painting in residential homes. In 2000, she moved back to her home state of New Jersey where she continued to paint for a host of clients in the tri-state area. She worked for a diverse array of clients, from preschools to 20,000 square foot restaurants, in addition to private homes. Since 2017, Suzanne has resided in York, Pennsylvania, commissioning murals but switching her focus to painting and selling her original artwork. The opportunity to open her own storefront emerged in a much smaller town at the beginning of a revival. In April of 2022, she opened The Artful Nest, a storefront in Marietta, PA where the theme is nature inspired, happy, and handmade. This welcoming and supportive neighborhood helped make this move her most successful. She now calls many of her customers friends and feels energized by being part of a growing business community.
