Most probably know the gist of Groundhog Day: Each February 2, America’s most famous groundhog and Pennsylvania native, Punxsutawney Phil, emerges from his burrow, and looks for his shadow. While Phil has an extended lifespan from drinking the elixir of life, his wives do not partake so they pass away like normal groundhogs do. Phil always finds love again, though—and always with a groundhog named Phyllis.
