How to travel sustainably:

• Pack light! The lighter your luggage, the less fuel your plane or train will use. Pack only the essentials & try to borrow or rent items you don’t need for your trip. Stay in sustainable accommodations.

• There are many hotels, resorts, bed & breakfasts committed to sustainability. Look for properties that use renewable energy, recycle & compos, & have water conservation programs.

• Eat local food. Eating local food helps to support the local economy and reduce food miles. When you eat at a restaurant, ask if they source their ingredients locally. If you’re cooking for yourself, buy your groceries at a farmers market or co-op.

• Reduce your waste: Bring your own reusable like water bottle, coffee mug, and utensils. Avoid single-use plastics whenever possible. & when you do generate waste, recycle or compost it. Skip the towel change & reuse them for an extra day. Turn the AC or heat off when you leave your room. It’s the little things, but the difference is significant!

• Support sustainable businesses. When you’re traveling, look for opportunities to support sustainable businesses. This includes businesses that use sustainable.

Here are our tips and tricks that will make all the difference.

Phone Photography Tips:

No camera? No problem! Follow these tips and your camera roll will look like the one of a seasoned pro.

• Use natural light. Natural light is the best light for taking photos. It’s soft and flattering, and it will help your photos look their best.

• Dial down the exposure. Phones’ auto mode almost always makes a picture be overexposed which in turn affects the colors. Bring the exposure down and watch the image transform.

• Use the burst mode. Burst mode allows you to take multiple photos in quick succession. This is great for capturing fast-moving subjects, like animals or children.
