Global Reef Expedition Final Reports
From 2011-2015, the Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation conducted a large-scale scientific research mission called the Global Reef Expedition, which aimed to survey the health and resiliency of remote coral reefs around the world. The primary goals of the expedition were to map and characterize coral reef ecosystems, identify their current status and major threats, and examine factors that enhance their ability to survive—and recover from—major disturbance events. Each volume of these scientific reports summarizes our findings from one of the 15 countries visited on the Global Reef Expedition. Scientists at the Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation continue to analyze data from the expedition and publish reports of our findings. New publications will be added to this list as they become available.
