THRILL OF THE CHILL You down with CBD? (Yeah, you know me…) YogaBamBam is embracing the CBD trend as it hits Hong Kong, opening the city’s very first CBD Therapy Lounge. The space, located above the yoga studio’s Shin Hing Street location in Central, will host a variety of CBD-infused experiences for small groups, offering activities like art jams, movement-based practices, sound therapy and couples’ massage. CBD, also known as cannabidiol, is a natural anti-inflammatory derived from the cannabis plant that’s said to alleviate issues like anxiety and insomnia without causing the psychoactive “high” of marijuana. CBD is totally legal in Hong Kong, and is fast gaining widespread use as a global wellness trend. If you’re curious about CBD, check out one of YogaBamBam’s experiences by booking online. Prices range from $400 to $1,500 a head, depending on the number of participants and experience booked.

TEST RUN If you want to get a COVID-19 test done, you’ll be excited to learn about Project Screen. This initiative is led by CircleDNA, in collaboration with several others, with a goal of testing 100,000 people for COVID-19 in Hong Kong in order to help track and trace the spread of coronavirus in the community. The pricing structure is completely transparent (each test costs $985) and health insurance giant Prudential is offering a $300 subsidy for up to 30,000 healthcare workers. Want to access one? Visit the CircleDNA website to complete a short questionnaire and order online. Please note that the test is not intended for people suffering severe symptoms, so if you have severe symptoms, please contact the government for help. Due to high demand, tests are currently limited to six per order.
