Micro Market Report

SUMMIT COUNTY, COLORADO

Home to Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain, and Arapahoe Basin resorts, Summit County is renowned for its world-class ski slopes and is easily accessible from the Front Range cities of Boulder and Denver. Its location just west of the Continental Divide, surrounded by some of the highest peaks in Colorado’s Rockies, provides abundant snowfall for winter activities.

Summit County’s communities saw a more balanced year of real estate transactions in 2022. Total sales volume throughout the county dipped 27% after record-breaking numbers in 2020-2021. The average county-wide sales price increased 13.6% as buyers sought out properties amid lower inventory.

Copper Mountain had the highest increase in average price, up 41.6% to $1.07 million compared to the previous year. The average price for properties in Keystone was up 20% to $1.01 million and the price per square foot increased 22.5% to $813.

Frisco’s average price was up 20.8% to $1.26 million as that town continues to see more interest from buyers.

As more people look for primary residences and vacation homes with access to the wilderness just a short drive from Denver, Summit County’s unique neighborhoods continue to offer the mountain lifestyle sought by many buyers.
