Feedback to Buddy Program Some of them like the events like orienteering. Because it is sample and without preparation. Doing something together is a good way to break ice. She is a positive participant of BP and she considers BP a good opportunity to communicate people from different countries. She enjoys the time spending with her buddy and learns about some foreign culture from her. They contact once a week and usually go out for dinner together.And she also helps her buddy deal with some diary stuff. Since her buddy will go back home at the end of the term, she feels a pity that they couldn’t have more chance to know each other better. She prefer small group activities which can make her interact with other foreigners not just her buddy, By joining BP, she has made some new friends but she feels her language skills haven’t been greatly improved.

It is really hard to me to talk with people who are not

familiar with, especially

foreigners. So I don’t like one to one relationship. l like to do something with foreign students as a chance to talk, like play football, or orienteering.

Difficult to communicate with forengners.

He considers BP an incentive to push himself to communicate initiatively. He wants to improve his speaking ability through taking part in activities in Buddy Program. He is interested with some sports and games. He focuses on his study and sometimes he needs to read some foreign academic papers and magezines. He has a plan to study aboard for a master’s degree. He can communicate with foreigners using basic terms, and he thinks English is important for his future. He doesn’t have so much communication with his buddy. They contact twice or thrice per month on Wechat. He feels harder to get along with his buddy than his classmates because of their different life habits and cultures.
