Liza Hathaway Matthews is a contemporary abstract artist and textile designer who lives in Baltimore, Maryland. Radiating a contrast of luminous color, graceful form, and texture, her paintings are inspired from nature, design, and pattern. Harmony and movement are evident in her work. Liza’s mediums of choice include acrylic, oil, ink and charcoal.
In addition to her paintings, Liza’s creative abilities extend into textiles such as pillows, lamp shades, wallpaper and fabric. The newest addition to her artistic ventures is her collaboration with Anthropologie, creating the beautiful 'Rites of Spring' collection. Liza is also excited to be collaborating with Lema J Design to design a new line of one of a kind floral Chinoiserie cuffs.
