The project is located in the heart of downtown Raliegh, right across the street from Nash Park. Nash park provides a lively atmosphere with a natural tree canopy in which people can loiter, stroll through, or draw on the sidewalk. Not wanting to disrupt the natural atmosphere of the site, it felt appreciated to design a Community Center that would serve as a support building to Nash Park. The building is meant to serve as an extension of Nash Park where people can come in and see artwork from local artists as well as learn about the history of Nash Park and downtown Raleigh. There are studio spaces that can be rented out or converted into classrooms in which the city of Raleigh can hold educational classes for its community.

The aim of the design was to create an environment in which one could celebrate, mourn, and have a moment to collect themselves during a funerary ceremony. The origination of the design is done in a way in which there is a transition from the active site boundary and the peaceful cemetery atmosphere. It intended to create a sense of intimacy within the chapel and memorial garden. The design is accessible to the public, yet provides a setting for private functions and individual contemplation.

The Convergence Stool is the result of multiple different iterations of stool based on the idea of Parallel Convergence. Plywood is the main material for this furniture piece. First designed through digital means then oil. The convergence of different pieces of cut out plywood into one singular elegant form provides a place for people to converse, connect and create experiences for countless of hours.
