FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY COLLECTIONS

frame beautifully
THAT MOMENT IN TIME
with PAINTERLY IMAGERY
on film.
my fine art approach
My style combines documentary with editorial photography. I won’t take an age over formal, posed shots, but will be there discreetly behind the camera capturing your day. I also offer the opportunity for artistic portraiture – in order to frame beautifully that moment in time when you and your beloved make a commitment. At a carefully chosen time we will take a relaxed break from your guests to capture some romantic, natural bride-and-groom shots. Film emulsions produce luminous colours, more natural contrast and flawless skin tones. These qualities of film are sought after the world over, and an entire industry endeavours to reproduce that ‘film’ look for the digital format. Increasingly couples are choosing old-fashioned film photography for their weddings. Perhaps as few as 5% of UK wedding photographers offer film photography. I use Kodak and Fujifilm professional-grade film, and which I then send to a professional lab. Your film negatives will be scanned into digital format so they will be just as easy to share with friends and family, or incorporate into an album with your digital images. Prints from your original negatives are of course also an option, for the full analogue experience. I will carefully edit your digital photos to closely match the look of your film photos. I specialise in shooting natural couples in natural light. On your wedding day, as far as possible, I will be looking for opportunities to capture you and your guests in the open air, or using available natural light from windows. Wherever possible I will make use of a fast lens, for the most natural rendering of your day. I use professional Canon 35mm film and digital cameras and lenses, and I carry backups and spares. I shoot on professional-grade Kodak and Fujifilm, and use a professional film lab to process and scan your images. I am fully insured.
I would be delighted to help you create artful memories.

FAQs
questions
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? I can send you my wedding booking form for you to complete. This gives me a clearer picture of your plans and rough shape of your day, the important people, and other details you might already know. Once I have that back we can schedule a coffee or Skype chat to meet and get to know each other a little. WHEN IS PAYMENT DUE? A signed agreement and reservation fee (50% of the wedding collection price) are required to secure your wedding date against other bookings. I will send these to you with the booking form. The balance of payment is due one calendar month before your wedding date, and you will be invoiced in plenty of time. Album orders and engagement shoots will be invoiced separately. WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE WEDDING?
WHAT ABOUT TRAVEL/FOOD/EXPENSES?
You should allow 3-6 weeks to receive your finished images. Film processing takes up to two weeks, and then digital images can then be edited to match. You can place album orders before or after your wedding.
My standard travel expenses are 50p/mile beyond the first 60 miles’ roundtrip from my studio at TA16. However, and if possible, for much longer distances I will take a train to reduce the cost and conserve energy.
CAN WE PRINT OUR PHOTOGRAPHS OURSELVES?
Occasionally timings and distance may mean an overnight stay is required. Please add me to your catering list! For best results feed me at the same time as yourselves, so I can be free to shoot you and your guests the rest of the day. Â
Yes! I include a full print release for your images, which includes use on your social media accounts. Under UK law copyright of the images rests with Liz Baker Photography, and you are not permitted to sell, edit or submit your images to a competition.
