Establishing professional Practice 02/10/2017 Issuu -Issuu is a programme where you can upload PDF documents into the style of a website. - I created an account on Issuu filling in my basic information such as name, email and username etc. -by entering interior into the search engine on Issuu it came up with a large array of documents for example interior trends 2018. As shown in the image below.
This allows you to scroll through multiple documents at once in a PowerPoint format. A lot of these PDF’s are made to be aesthetically pleasing by altering things like font size colour and imagery. Colours within the document are all complimentary and fit a theme to make the whole document flow. Documents are set up as books as if you are flicking through a catalogue.
The document above demonstrates how the documents are technical and informative as well as pleasing to the eye. This particular document has examples of plan, elevation and isometric drawing. There are also documents on lighting techniques which help understand the way light works with a space and how to manipulate it through clever lighting solutions. All documents have different levels of typography some have minimal with just a few words where as others act as an information centre with paragraphs of writing per page.

VITRA Vitra is a furniture shop based on the work of architects and interior designers. We are using images from Vitra’s for our front covers. We started by searching images by Vitra on google and through tools refined the search to images larger than 4MP. This ensured that the PPI was high quality.
I looked at many images of Vitrahous, Vitra design gallery and Vitra furniture. Once I found an image that I liked I opened the image up in a separate tab. The image I chose was simple design yet manipulation of light made the structure in the image more complex.
The image above (right) was my original design for a front cover, I added a black and white filter to make it more focussed on the architectural points rather than the coloured elements. I then chose a simple black font (Cambria) to emphasize the clean lines of the image. I placed this into the image to where I felt as though it fit in however this drew the eye into the centre instead of pulling it down the image. The image above (left) is my final product I altered the colour of the text to one of the grey tones incorporated in the image as I felt this made the typography fit in rather than stand out. I moved it down to the bottom left hand corner and the orientation of the words so that in fit in around the architectural elements. To me this emphasises the curvature in the staircase and guides the eye down the page better. Adobe Acrobat Save word documents as regular PDFs so that the documents can be combined to create one singular document. Open Adobe Acrobat and click create , combine files into single PDF. Once this opens add documents in the order you want and click combine. This will form one singular PDF. To upload this onto Issuu log in and click upload then select the PFD file you want to publish.
