PROJECT REUSE PROJECT
PRELIMINARY PROJECT CHIASSO SUPSI LUGANO ARCHITECT LJUBOV SIRSOVA
2014
The project is developed at former customs premises, which currently have warehouse usage. The project is consisting of the two existing parts and of the two additional parts linked to the functions of distribution and structure covering. The distribution’s function, so-called “amphitheater”, is the gradual elevation to the road level from the basement. Hence, that space can be transformed to relaxation/walking area where can be situated small green areas, cafes, shops etc. The structure covering, which reflects the existing warehouses’ roofs, is located at the interim between the entrances of the existing buildings and creates a covered waiting area that is visible from the near bridge. The two existing buildings are being transformed into a theatre and dancing hall respectively. The project’s purpose is the creation of shared areas, which have different and interlinked functions.

FURNITURE DESIGN SUPSI UNIVERSITY FURNITURE DESIGN LOCARNO SUPSI LUGANO ARCHITECT LJUBOV SIRSOVA
2013
This project is situated at the Locarno’s University and it is inspire d by the obse rvation how the stude nts use the windows. In particular, they tend to stay at this area not more than 15 minutes and that only happens at the breaks between the le ssons. The fore , the structure should make the space use more comfortable, relaxing and interactive. The furniture is a metallic structure that goes around the radiator, currently located at this space and forms a meeting point for the students. The diameter of the metallic tube is 33 mm in order to resist at the weight of the students. The red color stands for highlighting th e structur e and attracting th e stud e nts’ att e ntion simultaneously. Finally, there was taken into account the analysis of Neufer’s measurements about the man in various standing positions. The integrated lamp will complite the furniture.

WORKSHOP HAZZOPULO PASSAGE SHOPPING CULTURE&SPACE PROJECT ISTIKLAL STR ISTANBUL IMIAD ITU TASKISLA CAMPUS ISTANBUL ARCHITECT LJUBOV SIRSOVA
2013
The Hazzopulo Passage is a hidden, secret world right next to the main shopping street Istiklal in Istanbul, which faced a transformation in use during the years. Todays main purpose is drinking cay in the courtyard. The whole space looks messy and cluttered and it is difficult for customers to orient themselves. Therefore there is a need to organize the space and increase its quality. There will be a more homogeneous design language flowing through the space which helps to discover the original character and on the other hand to introduce a new identity. This will be done by inventing a new functional concept. To increase the quality of intellectual exchange in this place, like it has been done in the past, the idea of an open library will suit passage in the most appropriate way. Providing access to the public around the clock the space functions as an exchange zone-reading, writing and renting books as well as meeting people serves as a ground for cultural exchange. Introducing bridges not only brings in two new traffic axes into the courtyard but also encourages new view connections in the three dimensional form.
