Denim PLUS Sustainability

I made a hypothetical brand named Denim PLUS Sustainability, which is a partner brand to the existing company Serge DeNimes. My brand was built on the idea of sustainability and functions alongside Serge DeNimes by supplying a service that allows the customers to send in their old clothing and/or materials to be up cycled and recycled, in return for Serge DeNimes vouchers. Based on sustainability, the aim of Denim PLUS Sustainability was to increase the amount of people who are environmentally conscience in regards to fashion as a whole.

FAT Project Fashion, Architecture, Textiles


FAT

FAT was a project set for the fashion, architecture and textile students to work together and collaborate to make a final piece from the inspiration of a word and a place. Working together with students in a different specialism was a wonderful experience, bouncing and reflecting ideas off of one another. We worked together to get a final structure using all of our ideas. With the word DENSITY, we created a structure that held beach found bottles and items and presented them in the order of their density. The teamwork skills that I learnt throughout this project were invaluable.


Nelly & Noah AW/15


Nelly & Noah is a fun, bright and colourful brand that I hypothetically created. The brand focuses on not only the child, but the adult customer as well. Nelly & Noah is created to bring the parent and child together to choose aesthetically beautiful clothes. The ideal customer for Nelly & Noah would be the working parent, too busy to go and shop for her child.


My online based brand works on user experience design, considering the customer. I created a loyalty scheme that allows money off items with every purchase based on a points system. In addition to this, I created events and flyers for events that showcases Nelly & Noah, and provides a fun day for the parent and child to bond over the clothing and entertainment.

SiSi AW/16


Sisi is a luxury loungewear and exercise brand that was created as a group project. Sisi used materials that benefit the skin and health as they focus on designs that are aimed to wrap up the body in pure bliss and enhance well-being. Our USPs were the materials we used for the clothing, being bamboo, milk and microencapsulation where subtle scents are infused into the fabrics.


We created a film for our brand that would be automatically played when the website or other means of social media are opened. Our fashion film aimed to reach out and relate to our target audience of a working woman. We created a look book from stills taken from the film, and we used a visual aesthetic, which aligns with the feel and mood of our brand. Barbour International Fashion Film AW/16


I created a promotional fashion film for Barbour International menswear, looking at an area which I felt could benefit the brand if they were to use it. I focused on the young motocross scene that Barbour International has never looked at before. I collaborated with film students who made my film and visions come to life. Collaboration taught me how to film, edit and colour grade, which were a whole new set of technical skills. My fashion film reflected the brand, and accompanied a 2,000 case study on Barbour International, as well as a detailed bog which is found at the following link. Alongside the film, I conducted a photo shoot to capture the styling of my model (styled by myself). The location was the same as the film so all the visuals aligned. I edited the photographs myself and used them in my case study. My story board that I created is shown above. I used this as a guide for the student filming.
