First Steps: Fundamentals of Magic for Staying Positive
T
he first steps in any lifestyle change or addition can be exciting, yet also a little fearful: What is needed? Are specific things required? How do I begin? Is there a lot of work involved? Is it even possible? Good news! The Positive Pagan journey can start anytime you choose, and it is a journey you can return to when needed in your life. Think of it like a suitcase, packed and ready to go on your next trip, but with some room for a few items to add here and there for your journey as needed. The first steps in this journey include doing some internal work. It involves diving deep into what you want, what you’d like to create, and what you want your life to look like. As in any sort of lifestyle change, it may take some time to incorporate these actions into your day-to-day life until it becomes a habit. Results will not necessarily emerge right away. The end results, in my opinion, are well worth the effort. It’s living your life in harmony with your surroundings. It’s incorporating your magic into your daily life. It is a contented happiness, possibly on a regular basis. It is focusing on what you love, and not 13
