North Bend

Musical Afternoon

North Bend Musical afternoon is held the second Sunday of each month except for August. Join us from 1-4 p.m. at the historic North Bend Hall, RR 3262 north of Hwy 3. Dancers and musi - cians are encouraged to join. Raffle tickets are available for our draw on July 9 for $1,000 worth of Diamond 7 Meat, a queen size quilt and a child-sized gator.

Playschool

Preregistration

Southridge Playschool & Kindergym has opened up their registration for the fall 2023-2024 classes. They offer one-day a week for three-yearolds and one or two days a week for four/ five-year-olds. Summer Soiree

The Friends of the Performing Arts is hosting a Summer Soiree at Grace United Church on June 21 to benefit music education and school band programs in Lloydminster. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and bands begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased by contacting 780-808-5657 or 780-875-8959.

The Legacy Centre will be hosting a cribbage doubles tournament on June 22. Play begins at 10 a.m. and the cost to play is $10. Lunch is available for $12/person. Everyone welcome! The Long Run @ Cheers Live

The Long Run, Canada’s salute to The Eagles, will be taking the stage at Cheers Live on June 24. Doors open at 8 p.m. and tickets are $30. The Whisky Boys will be playing country hits after and there’s free pizza at midnight!

She Shed Raffle Returns!

The She Shed Raffle at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #39 is back! Support the Lloy- dminster Legion by getting your tickets for the She Shed Raffle! Diabetes Education Class

The Saskatchewan Health Authority will be hosting a diabetes education class, “An Introduction to the Basics,” on July 3 from 12:30-4:30 p.m. in the Klinger Conference Room of the Prairie North Plaza. To register, please call 306820-4887.

Legacy’s Overnight Bus Trip

The Legacy Centre is taking an overnight bus trip to the Rosebud Theatre in Rosebud, Alta on July 18-19 to see The Sound Of Music. Deadline to sign up is July 10. The bus leaves Lloyd and heads to Camrose for shopping then an overnight in Stettler before the lunch and show the following day. Bus returns to Lloyd by 8:30 p.m. on July 19. Brett Kissel at The Vic’s Crank It Up Cabaret

Brett Kissel will be taking the stage on Sept. 7 at the Vic Juba Community Theatre’s Crank It Up Cabaret, which is taking place in the Saskatchewan Building at the Lloyd Ex! Doors and bar open at 6 p.m. and the show is at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $59 with a variety of seating options available, tables and chairs, bleachers, as well as standing room and a dance floor.
