vs Intel’s price for low end dual core processors starts at $40. Intel’s currently available i9-7900X offers 10 cores, with 20 threads, and a boosted core clock that maxes out at 4.3GHz. Intel processors offer a number of strengths, including power conservation, graphics performance, processing speed, and processing power

PERFORMANCE
Low-end, dual-core AMD Sempron, Athlon, or A-series dual-core processors start at about $30. AMD recently announced high-end Ryzen processor, dubbed ThreadRipper, a 16core CPU with 32 threads, which it's aiming at high-performance computing applications. AMD processors can do things that Intel chips can't. Whereas most Intel processors are locked in at a fixed clocking speed, many AMD processors can be "overclocked“.
vs Intel also has on-die integrated graphics, but its performance isn’t up to par with AMD’s Radeon video cards in that respect. Users prefer Intel in rendering software like Adobe Suite, Maya and Blender. It’s Hyperthreading technology boosts performance, thus less rendering time.
Intel processors consume less power and can run cool for longer periods of time.

Power Consumption and Cooling
AMD offers many processors which are sold as APUs, which means they combine the processor with Radeon graphics on the same chip. These offer excellent value for low-end gaming. AMD chips tend to be slower than it’s Intel counterparts in performing rendering tasks.
AMD processors heats up easily and consume more energy.
vs USER PREFERENCES/OPINIONS Intel’s chips are priced at a higher rate,. This means that only few buys it for personal use. Intel’s chips are usually used for office multitasking, because these chipsets are built for a ton of multitasking. Gamers with enough budget to buy a gaming PC would surely choose Intel over AMD. This is because Intel’s chipset gets a lot powerful IF and only if partnered with a powerful GPU like NVIDIA.
PRICE
AMD is preferred by most users because a lot of their chips are priced at an affordable cost. We can conclude that AMD are bought most by those using the computer as a personal desktop.
GAMING
Low budget gamers prefer AMD chipsets because they are a lot cheaper than Intel cpu’s. Aside from this, AMD’s integrated graphics are a lot better than Intel’s.
