Away in a Manger
Arr. Bass Away in a manger, No crib for a bed, The little Lord Jesus laid down His sweet head; The stars in the sky look’d down where He lay, The little Lord Jesus, A sleep on the hay. Cattle are losing, the poor Baby wakes, but the little Lord Jesus, no crying He makes; I love thee, Lord Jesus! Look down from the sky, And stay by my cradle to watch lullabye.

Your Support Makes A Difference A message from the Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at the Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center
Albany Medical Center is honored to celebrate 31 years of Melodies of Christmas to benefit the Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders. Through years of community generosity and outstanding support from partners – CBS 6, Price Chopper, and Freihofer’s - Melodies of Christmas has helped support the programs and people that make the Melodies Center the unique facility that it is today. Thirteen year-old Kirstin Hodges is evidence of how the funds raised through Melodies of Christmas are making a difference in the lives of Capital Region families. Kirstin, who has joined us for several years as one of Albany Medical Center’s singers, was diagnosed with a life-threatening brain tumor at age eight. Suddenly, words like “cancer,” “meduloblastoma,” and “chemotherapy” became a reality for the Hodges family—something that they never imagined their child would have to face. Kirstin and her family found hope close to home, at the region’s only center for childhood cancer. Thanks to the care and treatment that Kirstin received, her family can now look forward to seeing her on stage again this year and for years to come. We thank you for your continued support in helping us to provide the absolute best in pediatric cancer care to the children in our region, like Kirstin.
