From a Life of Drugs to a Life Serving God

I struggled with drug addiction for 20 years. I started on my 18th birthday, drinking alcohol and smoking weed. I used angel dust, black mollies, acid, chocolate mess, T-blues and other drugs. In my late 20s, I tried crack cocaine and heroin. I thought it was a cool thing to do, wanting to be with the crowd, but I didn’t know about addiction and what it would do to my life. When I was introduced to crack, it was a beginning of a horrible life. I became withdrawn from my family. I would only be with people who used and sold drugs. I was
smoking crack night and day. Every dollar I got was spent on drugs. After a while it wasn’t enough. I was beginning to shoot up. I lived an isolated and miserable life. By the time I was 38 years old, I had no more veins to use and was depressed. I know there is a God because my family raised me in church. I began to pray and ask God for help. I had been in rehab six times by now but was still using. One day I heard this lady on the radio quoting God’s word. 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray, seek my face

and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land.” I knew I needed healing and forgiveness and she said call this number if you need to pray, so I did. This was the beginning of the rest of my life. God taught me through His love, how to pray to the Father in Jesus Name for other people. He loved me so much, the drug addict. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believe in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16. At age 46, God freed me from
pain, shame and sorrow. Praise God, thank You Father in Jesus Name, Amen! 2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT. “Anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person, the old life is gone and the new life has begun.” Today I am a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I was ordained April 29, 2014, at Revelation Knowledge Outreach Center, located at 125 Ash St. in LaPlace, according to God’s Word. There are No Accidents: Tragedy turned into Adventures for Disabled

My name is Jason Bland. I am the CEO of “Trinity Outdoors Disabled Adventures, LLC a 501c3 Christian Ministry that provides kids, adults and Veterans with outdoor adventures. On July 9, 2005, I was involved in an automobile accident on Kaliste Slalom that ejected me from a ž-ton pickup. I sustained some serious injuries. After a yearlong battle and fight with infection, I subsequently loss my right lower leg. This was an eye-opening experience that enabled me to become a
more spiritual, loving and caring individual, even through all the pain and suffering I endured. Yet, it also engaged me into a calling to establish a Christian-based support organization to minister words of encouragement to other people with disabilities. In February of 2007, God ignited a fire in my life, by allowing me to continuously grow, not only in educating and supporting people with disabilities, but also in showing these individuals that through the power of God ANY and ALL outdoor activities are accomplish-
able. No matter what, “Life Must Go On.” So throughout the next few years we embarked on helping people who also suffer with addictions, by giving them a volunteer position in our group to help others along with accountability ..... which in turn helps them stay sober. The interaction and relationships that formed with folks from all walks of life took a tremendous and positive effect on my life. I asked and prayed to God, “Why me?” He told me to I will use you to reach thousands through my word and Trinity Outdoors Outdoor Ministry for Kids, Adults & Veterans Taking disabled individuals on a “Trip of a Lifetime” Travel all over the country giving disabled individuals the ability to hunt and bag a “trophy animal”
