Thanksgiving For Native Americans MUWEKMA OHLONE TRIBE
Thanksgiving is a national holiday and a time for celebration. But for the Native descendants of the original inhabitants of the Americas, it is also a time for sorrow. Sorrow at the loss of their lands, the destruction of their culture, way of life and the genocide that they faced for generations. For Native Americans, Thanksgiving is a day with many facets, some of them good, but many of them reminders of loss and causes of pain.
