What are the causes & prevention of heel pain?
There is a ligament called plantar fasciitis which spreads from the feet to the five toes. It is responsible for flexibility and balance while we walk. Factors that affect plantar fasciitis ✅ Injury to the heel ✅ Diabetes ✅ Rheumatoid arthritis All these can cause inflammation of the ligament and lead to heel pain.
People often come with the complaint that they experience severe heel pain after they get out of bed in the morning. This pain will subside after taking two or three steps. The pain may also occur while trying to walk after remaining seated for a long period.
In acute stages, medication and injections are recommended. If the pain persists, consult with your orthopaedic doctor.
Prevention Exercise can help prevent this problem. After you wake up or in your free time, make sure to do some stretch exercises for your feet. Choose the right type of footwear. Avoid wearing heels or sandals.
