T APRIL
APRIL
What a wonderful April we have enjoyed ! Spring has arrived in all its splendor, giving our landscapes a magical and exuberant color. From flower-filled fields to bustling cities, the beauty of this month has enveloped us in a warm and hopeful atmosphere.
Did you know that April is considered the month of poetry and love, days dedicated to celebrating human relationships as symbols of affection?. Not to mention that people look happier on their faces, and there is an atmosphere of excitement and celebration for the beginning of a new season.
We should not forget that some significant holidays are also celebrated this month, such as Easter Week, where we learn about renewal and transformation, Earth Day, where responsibility and care for our planet are promoted.
What a great month we have had! Let's always remember it with affection and keep this spirit of life with our expectations for the future and the enriching experiences that await us.

Escuintla
escuintla
Escuintla is one of the larger Guatemalan cities on the Pacific coastal plain. From the rich agricultural hinterland now come sugarcane, cotton, and coffee, as well as citronella, coconuts, pineapples, and mangoes. There’s so much to love about the experience with its mix of tranquility and wildness, its dark sands, huge skies, and powerful ocean.
To Do Things
Climb Pacaya Volcano
Pacaya Volcano is one of the easiest available active volcano hikes in Guatemala. Its smooth activity allows visitors to approach the Lava coals, and the smoking cone, and enjoy the great views of other Volcanoes, Lake Amatitlán, and the City. It gives you the perfect time to enjoy an extreme activity, tailormade for cruise ship travelers.
El Paredon
El Paredon Guatemala is a sleepy Pacific coast town with striking black sand beaches and impeccable surf. It’s the perfect place to relax and escape the busier towns and cities of southern Guatemala.
The name translates from Spanish as the big wall, good view. Because, slightly along the coast from where the town is today, the black sand is nearvertical acting as a barrier between the river and the Pacific Ocean.
HOLY WEEK iN gUATEMALA
Holy Week in Guatemala is celebrated with street expressions of faith, called processions, usually organized by a "hermandad". Each procession of Holy Week has processional floats and steps, which are often religious images of the Passion of Christ, or Marian images, although there are exceptions, like the allegorical steps of saints. Guatemala has the biggest procession in the world!

CRIS VARGAS
My name is Cris Vargas, I'm a 30-year old industrial psychologist and I was in Finance, specifically RSO, for 2 years. I came back as a HRBP Assistant, a full circle moment for me since it was a dream of mine to be here doing this role, helping others on a daily basis. I'm very empathetic and kind towards everyone, I love to help people whether it's by doing something or just listening to them. I strive to rekindle the 'Human' part in HR by being a trusted partner, not someone far away in an office. There are a few fun facts about me. Work-wise, I've been all over the place: I've been in finance, customer service, HR/recruitment, bookselling (bookworm over here) and I even coordinated food-delivery trucks via GPS monitoring. While I'm a psychologist, I also have a technical degree in sports journalism. Die-hard fan of AC Milan, but never disrespecting other teams. I'm that guy that gets annoyed at the TV watching my team.On a personal level, I love me some fantasy: Harry Potter and the Grishaverse are my go to (no pun intended), I also took some singing lessons and write short stories every now and then. I did some research on cryptocurrency yet I love videogames. I like to believe I'm a jack of all trades, I like to learn from everything and everyone and I'll be happy to be here for you in any way you may need me!
