Why Products Don’t Sell Let me give you an example, thats' the easiest way to explain. My favorite way to make money online is to simply flip websites. It's a simple way to generate instant cash. My sites always sell because I know what type of content sites people want and what price they will pay. But‌ 80% of people flipping websites either never even sell their websites or they get a lot less then their BIN price. Buy it now price. Then they go around screaming that flipping websites does not work and they go onto their next great idea, when in reality flipping websites does work. What they did wrong was, they A) Created the wrong type of content sites and B) They put the wrong price on them. They didn't research the market. They didn't see what type of content sites are selling and for what price, they just assumed that someone would buy it. Big Mistake! This is the same for any sort of product you create. I will go into this in more detail shortly, but if the people above just spent 5 minutes going over the auctions people were running and seeing what sites sold and what sites didn't, they would have found out exactly what is selling and for what price. Do you see how simple that is? Before I go and spend time creating anything, I will go and see what it is people are looking for and at what price and if I feel I can offer something they want at the price they expect, then I create it. The same goes for the WSO board. People put up offers and make very few sales because they sell products no one is interested in. If they just spent five minutes going over the most successful WSO's, they would soon see a pattern of what sells and what doesn't. Stop creating products until you know exactly what people want. And it's easy to know what people want, because it's selling! If something is selling, you know people want it. In the next few chapters I am going to give you specific examples of ways you can use this research to make instant cash.

Create Low Priced Versions Of High Priced Products Products that have high value and sell for higher prices usually take longer to create and require a lot more work from you to create. But if there is a market for a high priced product, then there is a market for a low priced version of the same product. People always tend to go for the lower priced version of a high priced product first. I know I do. If I see a product that says it does the same thing as a product of much higher price, I will buy the lower priced product first. A lot of the time this lower priced product is junk (I'm not saying create junk) but I don't really care because it didn't cost me much at all. I will also buy lower priced products if I'm not sure I want to invest that much into the higher end product until I know I have a real use for it. I only recently upgraded from a lower cost version of Camtasia because I had no need for Camtasia at the time, but I still needed to do video. So I purchased something with less frills, not as good, but did the job. Now that I want to create videos with better quality, I upgraded to the better solution. Every high priced product that is selling well has a low priced alternative. Often, the lower price version makes the product owner more money. This is something I am going to be doing a lot of now, creating lower priced versions of products that are selling well in different niche markets. John Reese when he launched his traffic secrets dvd course, did well from that. However, a lot of people also did well creating lower priced versions of information that was similar. Not everyone could afford the $1000 price tag of his course, but they could perhaps afford the $47 product based around the same ideas. Sometimes high priced products sell out, so people naturally create similar products at a lower price and take the customers who missed out. It's just good business. Always look for products that are selling well at a high price and try and create a lower cost version of it. Lower priced versions don't have to be as intensive to create, so take less time to create which means you make money quicker. This is probably one of the easiest ways to start making money online. Find a product or service that is selling well for a high price, offer a slimline version and target the people who are interested in the higher priced product.

Instant Cash With WSO’s Selling What People Want Like I said before, I'm no guru, but I'm also not stupid. If something is selling well, create a product similar to it. The WSO board is a great example of this. If you do not know what the WSO board is, it’s simply called “Warrior Special Offers” and is found on the Warrior Forum (largest internet marketing forum) http://www.WarriorForum.com It could not be easier to find what is selling well. I mean, the huge flaming icon on the side of the post and the millions of replies is a pretty good indication it's doing something right. The WSO board is the ultimate in market research. Buy products that are selling well and improve on them, then sell a better version then what is out there. Even better, find a product that is selling well, buy it, implement it and document yourself implementing the exact methods taught in that product and sell it yourself. If a product is selling really well on the WSO board and it's hot right now. Buy that product, implement the exact strategies it says to do, document everything you do with either video or screen captures or even just text and create a product out of it. Then sell it on the WSO board. Show how you profited from this product. Everyone who is interested in that hot product will buy your product and everyone who has purchased the hot product will also purchase from you. Everyone wants to have their cake and eat it too and this is the best way to do that. It's sort of like a cheat sheet. Thats a good product idea there. Create cheat sheets for successful products. Showing them how you make money using that method and show them ways to make the process even easier. I guarantee that will sell well. There are two ways to make money from the WSO board. The method above, where you find successful products and create similar products. The other method is to find high priced products. It's late here in the US, but I'm looking at the WSO board right now and there is a product selling for $127 on making money with blogs. A lot of people are interested in that product and it looks good, but I guarantee a product on the same topic at say $17 or $27 would sell out. When there is a higher priced product selling out on the WSO board, you better believe a product, a lower priced product on the same topic will sell very well as well. It's just how things work.

How To Properly Flip Websites I've not really heard anyone teach flipping websites this way. This is an Adam original. Well, maybe not quite, but it's something that works and works well. If you are interested in flipping websites, like I am, it's a great way to make instant cash. You can outsource most of the work as well, but I'm not going to go into details of flipping websites here, but I am going to give you a way to make your flipping work every time. I always feel like a bit of a loser when one of my sites doesn't sell. And while it's uncommon now for that to happen, it still irks me when it does. But, with this method, it's very rare that a site won't sell because you know exactly what people want and for what price. There are two major places online that people flip websites, especially content sites. They are, http://forums.digitalpoint.com and http://www.sitepoint.com/marketplace It's also very much like the WSO board. You can see what sells and what doesn't. If you do your research, you will find that the digitalpoint marketplace tends to sell websites at a lower price. The sitepoint marketplace tends to have websites selling for a higher price. So, from that you know something already. Don't bust your chops to create a website to sell at digitalpoint and if you want to sell sites at sitepoint, make sure they are of higher value. In the next chapter I am going to give you a few business ideas that you can use with this in mind. It's so important to know who you are selling to. Just because a place has lower end customers does not mean it's a bad place to sell. You just have to find a business idea that will work there and work for you. I've found that when flipping websites, selling low priced and high priced sites is the best way to go.

How To Create Low End Websites To Sell Using the marketplace at digitalpoint for this business idea. A lot of people list websites for sale here but few ever get the price they want or even sell their sites. They are either not what people are looking for or the price is all wrong. So the first thing to do is find someone who is selling lots of sites and see what he is doing. Just by watching the sites for sale section for a few hours I found someone who has been doing very well with the low end of the flipping websites business. This guy is doing it right for digitalpoint. He is selling lots of low end, easy to create content sites in a high volume. This is a successful seller. Go to the website below and search for a member called.... infopeek http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=52 Have a look at all the auctions he has run. This guy is doing it right. He creates very small sites, all with unique content and then he sells lots of them. He knows he's not going to get big money selling sites here, so he focuses on selling smaller sites that cost little to create and sells more of them. A lot of people on digitalpoint try and sell sites of that same size for too high a price. Their business model is all wrong. They end up spending more time and money then they actually make. This is where knowing your market is so important. Make sure you do everything quickly! This is just one example of a successful seller. Keep an eye out for what is selling and replicate it. It does not have to be small content sites, but they will sell well. The idea here is to create lots of sites quickly. They don't have to be even earning any money. You just need to create lots of sites that are selling at the time. If something else becomes popular, sell it! If someone starts selling something else and it starts selling well, replicate it! It's so simple. Watch what is selling and take a slice of the pie yourself. You just have to make sure you jump on these opportunities when they come around and be quick about it. You can either sell something for a high price and sell limited quantities of them or you can sell something for a low price and sell a lot of them. Either way works, each way has its advantages and disadvantages, so you need to weigh up which is right for you. In the next chapter we talk about higher priced sales.

How To Create High End Websites To Sell Knowing that sitepoint tends to lend itself to higher priced sales, I would then find out what the higher priced buyers want. The best way to do that is to go tomarketplace at sitepoint and see what websites are selling and what are not. Watch that marketplace for 24 hours and you will soon see a pattern. The sites that are selling here for big money are sites with unique content or a unique concept and are profitable and established. So the sites you want to sell here are sites that are a few months old atleast, profitable with proof of earnings and generating traffic, with proof. Proof of sales and traffic is so important when selling a site here. How do I know that? Because the sites with this proof sell instantly, and the sites that don't, don't sell or sell poorly. If the same content site you sold at digitalpoint was put on sitepoint and you made it profitable, drove traffic to it, got top rankings in Google and Yahoo, got some some back links, it would sell for 10 times the price it fetched on digitalpoint. Why? Because the people are sitepoint want sites that are established. They fly out the door in fact. So much so, I think that this truly is a business where demand FAR out weighs supply. Not to harp on the subject. The reason this works is because you are selling people what they want. You don't even need to put a price what you are selling. The market will price your site for you. Correctly as well. It takes longer to make a site profitable, so that is why there is such a price difference between the two business models we used for digitalpoint and sitepoint. This isn't rocket science is it? Yet people make it incredibly hard on themselves. They try and force round blocks into square holes. It's so much easier to fit round blocks into round holes wouldn't you say? Give the people what they want and you will never run out of customers.

If Low Prices Sell Well … So Will High Prices Just like with the high priced product, a low price product selling well is a good indication that there may be room for a higher priced product in the market. It's a funny thing, but some people only buy products that are high priced. I know a lot of people like this. They won't touch a $17 ebook, but repackage that information from that ebook into a $297 dollar dvd series and they are all over it. You all know about perceived value, so I won't insult your intelligence here. But my point is simple. Find low priced products that are selling well, and create a high price alternative. The mecca of low priced products online, information products that is, is the Clickbank.com/marketplace. This is where low priced information products either come to die or sell well. If a product is in the top 10 of its category, it's doing very good sales. It means the ebook topic is popular and I would hazzard a guess that creating a high end product on that topic would sell pretty well as well. That's just a hunch. But do you see a pattern here? Find out where people make their buying decisions and find out what they are buying! Just about every product selling well in the Clickbank marketplace could be turned into a $97 product, $197 product, $497 or even a $1000 product. The $20 ebook on getting into an MBA program could be turned into a $97 video and audio series. The $47 ebook on getting a womans number in 3 minutes or less could be turned into a $297 dvd course. Find out where these lower priced products are being advertised and offer your higher priced product as the “premium” product in the market. There will always be people who want the premium product over the lower priced product just as there will always be the people who want the lower priced product over the premium or higher priced product. You just have to know who wants what and for what price. Once you figure that out, and you can with the information I've given you, you will always know what people want to buy, before they do. It will become instinctive to you.

Doing The Ultimate Market Research The great thing about the market place at digitalpoint is that it's like a little micro economy right in front of your eyes. You can see the purchasing decisions of thousands of people right on your screen in real time. You can see trends the moment they happen. You can go straight into the services section of that marketplace and find out what people are willing to pay to have done for them. This tells you all sorts of things. It tells you what people are spending time on and this can lead to product ideas. I notice a lot of people are asking for their sites to be submitted to directories to get a better PR (page rank) in Google. This really works. You can have your site submitted to all these directories with high PR ratings and the links back to your site improve your PR. The people offering this service are flooded with work, BUT, the problem here is that there are quite a few people offering this service already. So offering the service yourself is probably not the best thing to do. You could however, write an information product on how to submit your sites to these directories yourself and save money. You could write all about this topic. How directories bring in great back links. It's obviously popular because so many people are asking for this service. So those who are purchasing this service would be interested in knowing more about it and those who have not purchased this service would love to know how to get relevant and high PR backlinks to their sites. Services are great for market research. People who create services are usually very on the ball. This doesn't just work in the Internet marketing niche, it works in lots of different niche markets as well. All services lend themselves to explanation. Example services that could have products created about them and how to do them yourself could be.... credit checks, writing resumes, online dating help.... etc.. People want to know how to do things themselves even if they never really intend to do it themselves. Some people just want to save money.

Follow The Best Selling Products I guarantee you now. If a product from a guru comes out tomorrow telling everyone to create small blogs with RSS feeds, the people offering this service will make a small fortune. If a product is selling well and it requires any effort at all to implement, that product has just created a new industry. That product has spawned a new service. People are lazy. They want everything now but don't want to do the work. That's great for service providers. Because of the flipping websites craze, even I, a man who wants to work as little as possible for maximum return created a service where I would create content sites for people. I would have been stupid not to. Information products that are selling well will then require effort to implement. It's a cycle and again, it's all about finding out what people want. If people are buying a particular book in droves and it requires something to be done for it's goal to be achieved, then put yourself infront of these customers and deliver your service to them. This works for any niche, not just the Internet marketing niche. Just about every how to product requires the reader to do something. It's when readers have to become doers that things go wrong. My tip for you is to find products that are selling well and think of a way to create a complimentary service to help those who fall behind. The bum marketing craze was a good example. Article writers now started selling their services as “bum marketing article writers” And it worked, article writers are still seeing a massive spike in sales, especially for articles considered to be in the “bum marketing” style. When something is hot and selling well but requires people to take action, then a lot of those people are going to look for an easier solution and that usually means getting some one to do the grunt work. There is nothing wrong with that. I outsource all my writing as well. It's just good business. But there is nothing wrong with also supplying the service as well. As long as you know what people want. No use selling a service no one wants, or even worse, that only a few people want and now you feel obligated to stay on just incase you do make a few extra dollars from these people. Find out what is selling and create services to help those who struggle with the process.

Sell Services That Are Selling This section is all about finding services that are selling well and see if you can replicate them successfully. As you know flipping websites is big money and its a popular topic right now. The problem though is that it takes effort to make money. People actually have to do something to make money. Shocking isn't it. Working for your money. Who would want to do that right? Well if you want to, you can make up to $500 a day. What I'm talking about here is creating a service where you create content sites with unique content for people. There is a guy doing well with this already at.... http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=880201 So you know there is a demand. Have a look at his offer. There is plenty he could do better, one thing would be to have a range of samples ready to see. There are two types of people interested in these sites. Those who are wanting to flip these websites themselves and those who just want to have a content site built on a topic they are interested in. So you want to create content sites that appeal to both markets. One group wants to make a return on their investment, so they will want their sites to be profitable or on the way to being profitable and the other group are looking for sites that look good and will be a nice addition to their portfolio. So the service you should offer should be something like. 10 pages of unique content for $70, and an extra article written for them that they can submit to places like EzineArticles.com (to make the site profitable) and the content site should have a nice template/header for those who are after sites that look pretty. You should also make sure you have samples. Now, I've never done this and it might be risky, but if you really want to sell out.... Tell them you will create the content sites for no money down. They don't pay until you deliver the content site. Some people won't pay, but you most will and you will build your reputation easier this way. It also doesn't matter if some people don't pay, you can go sell that website yourself later on, so you won't lose any money, in fact you might make even more. The key here is to get these content sites out quickly and have large turnover. Repeat customers will be your bread and butter.
Internet Marketing Series Vol. 3
http://www.MaverickMoneyMakingTopSecrets.com
Closing Thoughts Everything sounds really simple doesn't it when you put it like this.... Find out what people are already buying and at what price and give it to them over and over. Stop trying to tell your customers what they want and listen to them. Find out what makes them buy instantly. Find out what makes them hesitate or skip over an offer and then find out what makes them buy without even thinking about it. It's all about your offer. Your offer must be correct. You need to have the right product at the right price. When you start getting it right, you just know. Your products you are selling just fly off the shelves without as much effort on your part. Your services start to become in demand and you no longer need to chase after clients. Clients are coming knocking on your door. You might even have to start turning people away because your offer is so irresistible. If you are selling and flipping websites, this information is the reason why some sites sell within minutes of being put up for sale and while others stay up for weeks while the price of the site continues to drop. If that happens to you, it simply means you are selling the wrong product at the wrong place and for the wrong price, or a mixture of the 3 or even all 3. Making sales is not about luck. It's not about putting up loads of stuff and hoping to god it sells. While the goal is to be constantly selling many different products, it's about selling the right products for the right price to the right people. When you get it right, you won't know what hit you. Remember, it's not about forcing what you want on your customers, it's about forcing what your customers want on you. Want to know more? Want to make $500 a week from home?
