Concept Note Always with a book in hand and coffee to comfort her, she is the Logophile that keeps to her. Words are her world. At a distance, she may seem plain, without flair of flavor but once you get acquainted you will know she is a riot of colors. ‘Between the lines’ tells her story of how there is more to a person than what comes across on the surface.

How was the styling done? For this style we combined a subtle look pairing a shirt with the skirt. To give an edge to the look, we teamed it up with a red lip and black rimmed glasses. As the look was subtle, the high bun was kept messy to give off an easy going vibe. Streber
means nerdy in Serbian
How was the styling done? Picture the late-nineties' nerd and what first comes to mind is a gangly teenage boy in khaki pants. One of the constant struggle is upgrading your clothes . For Khushali, a black floral shirt with an assymetrical denim jacket is selected as layering is a must to create an appearence. Accessorised with turtle print glasses replacing the “harry potter look for a quirky touch and boxy sneakers. The hoop earrings look new and fresh with minimal nude makeup. Individual Experience
Being an experimental brand, we had a liberty to try all the experimental freaks that we can. That was really a plus point of this assignment and we were able to stretch ourselves to an extent which we generally don’t. We were for the first time exposed to the industry for a subject assignment and it was a very good learning experience/ opportunity. In this assignment, we were able to improve our styling as well as photography skills and it has helped us to learn how to plan our assignment from starting to end as anything can go wrong in the middle. -Manushi Gohel FREAKINS has been one of the very first glimpses that I have received of the fashion industry. Though we didn’t get to learn the ins and outs of the company, this opportunity taught us the importance of working in a team and catering to the requirement of the client. The garments were very different from the conventional ones which prompted us to think how we could style them while still keeping in mind to follow the trends. -Diksha Lokhande Firstly, I would like to thank our faculty for this because it was a great experience. Collaborating with FREAKINS was a different exposure all together as we had never worked for any industry before. The brand had something for everybody. The clothes were very flexible too as they could be styled variously. -Drishti Ghanshani
A word from the models
Hey, I am a student of NIFT Gandhinagar. I did this shoot for the brand FREAKINS. I really liked how the garments easily fitted me. The size was perfect and the material of the fabric was really good and easy on the body. I really liked the range of experimental clothes by this brand. -Preeti Baheti The garments I wore for the catalogue and editorial shoot were offered by the brand FREAKINS. All the garments were denim. Denim fashion is surprisingly modern era’s favorite for a good number of occasions and outings. Frankly, they were trendy, funky, classic and professional. I personally found them very classy and comfortable to wear during our shoots. There was a fun asymmetrically flared skirt which made me slay, and a green pencil skirt that looked very professional. There was also an interesting maxi dress with an upside down look of jeans. That was very trendy look one could look for. Greatly designed, trendy and comfortable could be the words which I would use to sum up the brand. -Divya Singh I loved the shoot; the clothes were fun and experimental. They were also very comfortable. One thing I loved about it was the color on denims, which is something unique. I have never seen such bright colors in denims and the silhouettes were also different-Khushali Trivedi
Learning Outcome Working for Freakins was an entirely new experience for us. Even though it was an assignment, the whole project incorporated a lot of our coursework. We learnt how things are practically carried out in the corporate sphere and how everything has to be well planned, unlike our regular assignments. This was our first step towards professionalism. Even though everything was planned, we still were mistaken in some aspects. As a team of three, we had to do all the work so it was left a little loose at the ends. A lot of problems were faced on the shoot day and the major one being time management. We really had to rush for one of the shoots that were supposed to be done before sunset but we could not make it. Though, the reshoot was planned keeping all those points in mind and carried out successfully. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we do look forward to more such opportunities in the future.
