Salvador Dalí His complete name was Salvador Domingo Felipe Jacinto Dalí i Domènech He was born on may 11th, 1904. Dalí was a skilled draftsman, best known for the striking and bizarre images in his surrealist work. Dalí was highly imaginative, and also enjoyed indulging in unusual and grandiose behavior

Politics and Personality Dalí, a colorful and imposing presence with his ever–present long cape, walking stick, haughty expression, and upturned waxed mustache, was famous for having said that "every morning upon awakening, I experience a supreme pleasure: that of being Salvador Dalí" In his youth, he embraced both anarchism and Comm unism, though his writings tell anecdotes of making radical political statements more to shock listeners than from any deep conviction.

As he grew older his political allegiances changed, especially as the Surrealist movement went through transformations.

Legacy Salvador Dalí has been cited as major inspiration from many modern artists, such as Damien Hirst, Noel Fielding, Jeff Koons and most other modern surrealists. Salvador Dalí's manic expression and famous moustache have made him something of a cultural icon for the bizarre and surreal.

Some Works Dalí, a colorful and imposing presence with his ever–present long cape, walking stick, haughty expression, and upturned waxed mustache, was famous for having said that "every morning upon awakening, I experience a supreme pleasure: that of being Salvador Dalí" Here we have: 1. Gala in the window. It was make on 1933. Is a sculpture of Gala with tow lamb chops balanced on her shoulders. 2. The painting depicts a slave market, while a woman at a booth watches some people. A variety of people seem to make up the face of Voltaire, while the face seems to be positioned on an object to form a bust.
