WELCOME TO PRIDE IN LONDON FESTIVAL 2017. We are proud to introduce our biggest and most diverse festival ever. With over 100 events, Pride in London Festival is now one of the biggest LGBT+ Festivals in the world.

Sarah, Scott, Petit, Jess, Adam, Simon and Peter not only give up their time and lend us their skills, they go out and meet and find event organisers across the community.

Now in its third year, the Festival showcases the best and brightest events that our London LGBT+ community has to offer. From performance on international stages and events in historic buildings through to community group screenings, talks and debates on our history, for everyone from families through to older people, the festival takes in the widest possible definitions of LGBT+.

The Pride in London Board provide the support required to bring this enormous program to life. Special thanks this year goes to Patrick Lyster-Todd. After 5 years as a Director of Pride in London and one of the original founders, Patrick leaves us this year and of course will be greatly missed.

The all-volunteer Festival team work tirelessly year round to bring you the stellar line up you see. Linda, Ross, Natasha, Sam,

Queer British Art 1861-1967 Exhibition Presenting the first exhibition dedicated to queer British art. Until Sat 5 Oct, £16.50 #QueerBritishArt

Queer British Art 1861–1967 Exhibition Featuring works from 1861–1967 relating to lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer identities, the show marks the 50th anniversary of the partial decriminalisation of male homosexuality in England. Queer British Art explores how artists expressed themselves in a time when established assumptions about gender and sexuality were being questioned and transformed. Deeply personal and intimate works are presented alongside pieces aimed at a wider public, which helped to

forge a sense of community when modern terminology of ‘lesbian’, ‘gay’, ‘bisexual’ and ‘trans’ were unrecognised. Together, they reveal a remarkable range of identities and stories, from the playful to the political and from the erotic to the domestic. With paintings, drawings, personal photographs and film from artists such as John Singer Sargent, Dora Carrington, Duncan Grant and David Hockney the diversity of queer British art is celebrated as never before.
