Welcome to the Royal Festival Hall and to today’s performance of Stan and Mabel by the London Philharmonic Orchestra!
In today’s concert we will meet Stan and Mabel, a music-loving dog and cat duo who leave their city homes on an adventure to Italy, where they join with their animal friends to audition to be the greatest orchestra in the world.
Based on the beloved children’s book by Jason Chapman, the music includes lots of moments for audience participation, so keep an eye on presenter Polly who will tell you exactly what to do! Make sure to head over to our SINGharmonics workshop to get a head start learning the songs before the concert. We will also hear a wonderful array of other music, which will take us from the peaceful English countryside to the celebratory atmosphere of the West African Juba dance. So pack your bags, warm up your singing voices, and get ready to hear what we think is the greatest orchestra in the world!
