Sibelius: Finlandia Finnish composer Jean Sibelius was inspired by the myths and nature of his homeland. Finlandia is one of the most famous pieces he wrote. It has lots of turbulent music but ends in a calm hymn. Nielsen: Aladdin Carl Nielsen was a composer from Denmark. He wrote this music to accompany a stage play of the fairytale Aladdin. Some of the most dramatic and exciting music is in the movements called ‘Festival March’, ‘Aladdin’s Dream’ and ‘Dance of the Morning Fog’.
