BEGINNER TO JOB-READY BARBER NVQ DIPLOMA
This is the most thorough and popular barbering course available in the market to those wishing to enter the trade. You will not only earn an NVQ diploma in barbering but you will also be trained to a standard that readies you to work immediately in a shop upon graduation. We use a results-driven training approach that is entirely hands-on, which means you will complete up to 150 real haircuts on models supplied by the academy. At all times our pro trainers are by your side to supervise, to build confidence, to progress your skill level and to deliver exceptional results. You will learn the foundations of barbering including cutting men’s hair with clippers and scissors, shampooing, head patterns, beard trimming and delivering a thorough consultation. You will execute advanced hair styles like skin-fades and razor touch-ups, and you will learn how to wet shave with a cut-throat. You finish the course cutting hair and shaving at a premium standard sufficient to work immediately cutting men’s hair in a shop.
Suitability: Complete beginners, hairdressers or barbers wishing to get shop-ready. Content: Clippering, fading, scissor work, razor touch ups, facial hair, wet shaving, styling, demos, hands-on cutting, up to 150 models provided. Goals: Get trained to a standard in which you can work in a shop immediately upon graduation, plus earn an NVQ diploma in barbering. Duration: 9 weeks full-time, or 28 weeks part-time.

WET SHAVING COURSE 2 DAYS – NVQ AWARD
CLIPPER FADING COURSE 1 WEEK
Wet shaving is an art form that has rapidly come back into fashion and is an increasingly important skill to have if you already are a barber or are thinking about becoming a barber. This course will get you cut throat wet shaving at a professional standard in 2 days and earn you an NVQ award in shaving which can be helpful for insurers who may require it.
This hands-on course is tailor made for barbers and hairdressers wishing to learn or advance their fading and scissor abilities by training the LSB way. It is also ideal as a refresher before a trade test to help you get in top shape. In one week you will complete between 20 to 25 real hands-on haircuts on models provided by the academy. With each cut you will have our pro trainer at your side giving direct feedback and support. We will also use trainer demonstrations to break down advanced cutting methods so that you learn the core LSB way of cutting hair including graduated cuts, short skin fades and creative cuts.
During this hands-on 2-day course you will train in a group of up to 5 students. Our expert tutor will walk you through the steps of the traditional wet shave through demonstration and provide guidance as you perform 6 to 8 real shaves on live models supplied by the school. By the end of the course you will be confident and sufficient in cutthroat shaving at a professional standard.
Suitability: Beginners, hairdressers or barbers wishing to learn cut-throat wet shaving. Content: Hands-on shaving 6 to 8 models provided by the academy, plus a trainer demo. Goals: Learn to wet shave at a shop-standard and earn a level 3 NVQ award in shaving.
Suitability: Hairdressers & Barbers with 1 or more years’ experience. Content: Fading & scissor work, hands-on cutting, demos, models provided. Goals: Hairdressers learn to create men’s hairstyles with clippers. Barbers refine fading & scissor skills and improve speed.

BARBER REFINING COURSE 2 DAYS
COMBO CLIPPER & SHAVING COURSE 1 WEEK
This 2-day course raises your skill level as a barber by sharpening your technical abilities, by improving speed, and by ultimately helping you understand how to structure a haircut better. We will identify your weaknesses and teach you how to create more wellbalanced looks in the shop. We also will cover the theory behind a haircut so that you truly understand why you are doing things. This course covers fading, skin fading, connecting corners, blending with scissor and clipper over comb, building shape, cutting the top, texturising, styling and finishing.
This hands-on course is ideal for individuals wishing to learn the core fundamentals of clipper work and cutthroat wet shaving. You will complete about 15 haircuts and 5 shaves on models provided by the academy. With each cut and shave you will have our pro trainer at your side giving direct feedback and support. You also will be provided trainer demonstrations to break down our methods into easily learnable steps.
You will learn through a combination of expert demos and hands-on cutting, with constant feedback on every haircut from our trainer at your side. You will complete 6-10 haircuts on models provided by the academy. With each cut you will have our pro trainer at your side giving direct feedback and support. We will also use trainer demonstrations to showcase advanced cutting techniques. Suitability: Barbers & Hairdressers with 1 or more years experience in men’s hair. Content: Fading & scissor work, hands-on cutting, demos, models provided. Goals: Refining your men’s hair cutting abilities with clippers and scissors.

BARBER CERTIFICATION TEST 1 WEEK - NVQ DIPLOMA
LSB COMES TO YOU IN-SALON TRAINING - 1 TO 5 DAYS
This program is designed for barbers with prior experience to earn an NVQ level 2 diploma in barbering. Over 5 days you will complete 4 to 6 haircuts per day on models provided to you while being assessed on a range of barbering abilities, such as scissor cuts, clipper cuts, beard trimming, health and safety, shampooing and drying.
Ever wanted to train with the LSB team but cannot find the time to travel to us? The London School of Barbering is pleased to oer our bespoke in-salon training for those who are unable to travel to our Central London academies. The famous and talented LSB team will come to you to train you in the art of barbering over 1 to 5 days. The course will be catered for your needs and requirements, depending on your experience. We will cover everything you need to know in the barbering industry from classic male barbering to modern male hairdressing techniques, shown in demonstrations and hands-on workshops.
Suitability: Barbers with 2 or more years’ experience. Content: Perform all assessments and sit all exams. Goals: Pass all requirements to earn an NVQ diploma in barbering.
