One hundred plus one The project is about exploring the relationship and connecting between a limited amount of the same materials. The repeatition of the cut pattern on the straws builds the main construction type of the model, which later turn the whole model into a stable egg-shell shape.
Line Block Design In this project, I was inspired by the random pattern of many rectangles, so I decided to be a little creative to make a impossible shape which is more volume than the original requirement of being combination of lines.
Balance Block By going through experiments of line, planes and volume iterations, developing a final model which can balance itself
Space Experience and Diagram Taking the CCM Theater in my College as a real life experience, we were going through processes to understanding the space. In sequence Draft of first floor, second floor and section cut. Simplified section cut diagram-like model, exploration and expanded drawing with different mediums.
Designing Abstract Space Using the last resource of the space experience, work as groups, we take out the strongest concept and idea, go through iterations and draft models, finally build a big model.
Collage making Using different sources of images, cut-and-paster to train the compositions and proportion,
Color Palette The project is about working with color and illustration by making color swatches, pushing abstraction and eliminate distraction digitally.
Section drawing For me it was a challanging project, which force me to imagine an interior space without really know what is inside.
Sketch Some of my sketching over the semesters
This one is actually one of my side projects for material exploration. My intention was trying to manipulate a single flat un-cut piece of paper to make it become something special, more “pop-out�. It turns out to be a pretty mask that have all the 3D folding lines, which partically break the charateristic of paper.
