High Green school receives £10,000 for new equipment

HIGH Green’s Paces School, the renowned leader in conductive education for young people living with Cerebral Palsy and motor disorders, has been awarded a £10,000 grant for new equipment to support pupils.

The donation for the school came from the Province of Yorkshire, West Riding Freemasons and was accepted by Chief Executive Spencer Pitfield and Trustee Norma Brindley at an event this month.

Ruth Liu, Paces School Headteacher, said: “We are now in our 21st year which means some of our equipment is very old and in need of being replaced.

“This donation will help us to do just that so we have the latest equipment which will support and enhance our unique Conductive Education programme which allows young people to receive the best start in life.”

Dr Spencer Pitfield OBE, Paces Chief Executive, added: “We are grateful to receive support from both the Department of Education and Local Authorities for our school core curriculum. But this funding is not always enough for some of the extra school equipment we need to give our pupils the best opportunities.

“This donation will make a big difference to that aim and I would like to thank everyone who contributed to such a sizeable donation.”
