Hilton staying with Steels
STOCKSBRIDGE Park Steels FC say they are pleased to announce that manager Chris Hilton and his coaching staff are staying at the club for the 2019/20 season. In a statement, the club said: “Chris is an excellent young manager who has attracted interest from several clubs looking to acquire his services, so it is a huge bonus for the club that he is staying for his fifth season in charge.
“Although last season was a struggle at times due to injuries to key players and clubs coming and tempting his players away with pots of money, Chris and the team stayed positive and kept rebuilding and eventually put a string of results together that saw them move up the league and finish in a comfortable mid table position.
“He will be busy over the next few weeks building his squad and putting them through their paces ready for the pre season schedule and a challenging season in the new Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Division One South East.”
Look out for details of the matches coming up in July and also details regarding season ticket sales and the club’s new 500 lottery which will be announced soon.
Steels play Sheffield Wednesday in a pre-season friendly on July 13 at 3pm.
