Look out for SANTA STOP near you

After extensive lobbying the Rotary Club of Wortley, have received confirmation from Santa to join the Christmas Eve tour throughout the areas of North Sheffield, starting at 3pm from Wortley Post Office.

Santa has also agreed to attend the ‘Northern Lights Santa run’ through Stocksbridge, Deepcar, Wharncliffe Side, Oughtibridge and Worral on the 16th December. Starting from the Fox Valley shopping centre 4.30pm.

The Club will attend at the designated stops in these areas for children to come along to meet Santa.

During the evening, Santa will hand out a total of over 3500 chocolate bars and a variety of sweets to children of all ages.

We are hopeful, that hundreds of people with their children turn up on both occasions, where due to the current Covid-19 situation, we would ask everyone to consider the wearing of a face mask.

Christmas Eve signs highlighting the event, will be placed at the usual “Santa Stop” lamp post locations. Installation of the signs will commence on the 5th December 2021.

Donations kindly made by the general public on these evenings, which are most welcome, will be subsequently distributed to local and needy causes, such as the Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

We would like to pass on the best wishes from Santa and the Rotary Club of Wortley and look forward to seeing everyone returning this year.
