Father of three who beats cancer returns to the pitch in charity match
Having taken on cancer and beaten it, Ben Palmer, 34, helped organise a charity game for cancer raising over £2000.
St Georges Park Thorncliffe was the venue for the charity game to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. Organised by Ben Palmer, Adam Todd, Dale Shaw and Dave Adams, it saw the current RBL team play against a host of Legends that had played for the club in the past.
The initial target was to raise £500, but they have already surpassed the £2,000 mark with over £500 in cash and over £1,500 on the Just Giving page. The link for the Just Giving page is here -

The Legends side saw some retuning names like Ben Leonard, Danny Cardwell, Andrew Hodkin, Tom Wright and Gaz Bacon.
