TiNY DiSco WoRlD RecoRD JoY OUGHTIBRIDGE resident Ged JenkinsOmar and club partner Stephen Robson have officially broken the Guinness world record for the ‘World’s Smallest Mobile Nightclub’ as recorded at Rotherham Carnival in South Yorkshire last September. After waiting for several months to have his evidence verified, ‘Club 28’ as it is known was officially awarded the world record on Friday February 3 2017. The record was attempted as part of the festivities at Rotherham’s first ever peoples carnival and was created as a fun artistic and musical installation to help raise the profile of the festival. To achieve the record the club had to be smaller than the previous record holder ‘Rumours’ nightclub which was awarded the title in 2011. Rumours measured 2.10m (6ft 8in) high, 1.17m (3ft 10in) wide and 1.78m (5ft 10 in) deep but was beaten by Club 28 which measures 2.01m (6ft 6in) high, 0.92m (3ft) wide and 1.53m (5ft) deep. Along with being smaller than the previous record holder the rules stated that the club must have a sound system, lighting, dance floor, turntables operated by a DJ, a bouncer, a name for the club and must charge entry for people wishing to go inside which was 50 pence on the day. The club played a mixed genre of music from house to soul with even some Bangra thrown in for good measure. DJ’s on the day were Sam Cawley and Dangerous Nile who kept the customers smiling and laughing throughout the record attempt.

STOCKISTS OF QUALITY RUGS

Following the carnival the club has been on exhibition at the Old Market Gallery in Rotherham and is now on show at Storrs Wood Gallery in Stannington, Sheffield.

Since the record attempt the club has also received an external makeover from cult street artist Marcus Method and the club is now available for rent to music and arts festivals with the hope that it will travel around the country throughout 2017. Bookings are already confirmed for Another Fine Fest in the Lake District and a venue for Open Up Sheffield with more in discussion. Ged said: “It’s amazing to get a world record and definitely a tick of the bucket list. My mum has bought me a Guinness Book of Records every year since I was kid and still does now even though I am 31 so I suppose I have to thank her for the inspiration. “It’s a bit of fun and brings a smile to the faces of the people who see it and dance in it. A few festivals have started getting in contact to enquire about booking it so it looks like we are going on tour. “Taking a revamped musical shed on tour something everybody wants to grow up and do.” You can see more of the nightclub at worldssmallestnightclub.com or watch a video on YouTube at youtube.com/ watch?v=S0IsxoD4MqA. A Change for the Better on Manchester Road JOHN Crawshaws, expert butchers for food lovers, has been on Manchester Road for over 60 years. Their presence was doubled in Stocksbridge two years ago when the old Co-Op at 516A Manchester Road was converted into a traditional butcher shop. Shoppers will see another change over the weekend as the neighbouring shops will “swap over”. In a move that will be welcomed by customers, the original smaller shop will become the traditional butcher’s shop while the bigger shop will become fresh food, sandwich and deli store.

HEARTBREAK FOR SCOUTS AFTER TRAILER IS STOLEN Camping is seen as a traditional staple the scouting movement and 105th High Green Scout Group are no different so they are understandably devastated by loss of the trailer.

IF REQUIRED, INCLUDING PLANNING & BUILDING REGULATIONS

John explained that the change will benefit customers because the fresh food shop has the highest foot fall which the old Co-Op shop is better suited to cope with. “This is a change we have been considering for a while and now is the right time to make it before we open our new shop in Fox Valley.”

“Sometime overnight on Tuesday February 21, we had our camping trailer stolen from the locked compound on Packhorse Lane at High Green. “The trailer was secured with three padlocks and a wheel clamp. The group leaders are devastated as they used the trailer to transport camping equipment when taking their young people on weekend

camps, many of the children who benefit from this activity would not otherwise have this experience. “The trailer was fairly unique as it had been modified to carry tents. It has a metal frame built up the sides and all of this work has been done by the Group Leaders in their spare time. “The group is very active with over 90 young people from Beavers through to Explorers benefiting from the hard work and dedication of the Group Leaders, however as an organisation solely funded by subs and fundraising, to replace this trailer in its current form is going to be very, very difficult. “We would just like the trailer back and if anyone has any information or can help us in any way we would be very grateful.” If you have any information, you can email contact@105highgreen.co.uk”

A Window of Opportunity In 1976 school-leaver Ian Clancy learned his trade at a local double-glazing company before making the leap two years later of going it alone.

Ian Clancy at the start of his business career.

The very first door made by Deepcar in 1978

A young enthusiastic worker Ian was described as ‘always first on site and last on site’. It wasn’t long before the hard-working Ian bought his first and current premises on Manchester Road in Deepcar, and set up his own window company Deepcar. These premises are now home to a brand new showroom showing off the latest range of products from tiled roof system conservatories to composite doors. Early success was to follow when in 1983 Ian was named winner of Yorkshire Televisions ‘Young Enterprise Businessman of the year’

Ian still has the very first door made by Deepcar back in 1978. Still in perfect working- order, the door sits proudly at the back of the showroom, illustrating Deepcar’s pride in their humble beginnings. Ian beams “Our aim is the same today as it was back then - we will provide the best products and best customer service. He continues “ In today's busy world we pride ourselves in looking after you the customer and will offer the same level of service whether you are having a new conservatory or a lock fixed on your window. Ian’s two young sons Tom and Joe, who show the same hard-working and conscientious qualities to their father are now helping the successful window company build on the 36 years of trading.

After nearly four decades of providing unparalleled products and service, Deepcar invite you to view the latest in home improvements at their new showroom. If its experience, quality and reliability you are looking for look no further than Deepcar.

LOCAL RAIL CAMPAIGNERS QUESTION SHEFFIELD CITY REGION TRANSPORT SPENDING FOLLOWING IPPR’s research showing £1,900 per head per year of transport cash being spent in London compared with £190 per head in Yorkshire and Humber Region, Paul Bloomfield Sheffield Central’s Labour MP questioned why Transport cash is unfairly stacked in favour of the capital and pointed out that the money is needed up north. So why is it, Don Valley Railway supporters asked at last week’s meeting, that Sheffield City Region have cut their contribution by 5% (or just over £3million) to help SYPTE deliver local transport services whilst allocating £5million towards a rail improvement on a line down south that will in the long term mainly benefit London bound commuters? Realigning the track through Market Harborough, Leicestershire will cost Network Rail £59million. This improvement, as part of the electrification will cut three minutes off journey times between Sheffield and London St Pancras. Sheffield City Region contributed totalling £5million towards this. However a Don Valley Railway spokesperson questioned the logic. He said: “The project is not

due for completion until 2023 and after 2032 Sheffield-London trips will largely divert to HS2.

New lease of life for much-loved pavilion

High Green in Bloom calls out for votes to bag a share of bag charge fund HIGH Green in Bloom is bidding to bag a massive cash boost from the Tesco Bags of Help initiative. Tesco teamed up with Groundwork to launch its community funding scheme, which sees grants of £5,000, £2,000 and £1,000 – all raised from the 5p bag levy – being awarded to local community projects. Three groups in every Tesco region have been shortlisted to receive the cash award and shoppers are being invited to head along to Tesco stores to vote for who they think should take away the top grant. High Green in Bloom is one of the groups on the shortlist. A spokesperson for the group said: “We are grateful to Tesco for choosing our scheme to go forward to the vote in March. We are looking to replace old wooden planters with more suitable longer lasting and self watering planters so we can continue to provide colourful floral displays at the centre of the village.” Voting is open in storesthroughout March and April. Customers will cast their vote using a token given to them at the check-out in store each time they shop.

Tesco’s Bags of Help project has already delivered over £27 million to more than 3,500 projects up and down the UK. Tesco customers get the chance to vote for three different groups every time they shop. Every other month, when votes are collected, three groups in each of Tesco’s regions will be awarded funding. Lindsey Crompton, Head of Community at Tesco, said: “We are absolutely delighted to open the voting for March and April. There are some fantastic projects on the shortlists and we can’t wait to see them come to life in hundreds of communities.” Groundwork’s National Chief Executive, Graham Duxbury, said: “We’ve been thrilled to see the diversity of projects that have applied for funding, ranging from outdoor classrooms, sports facilities, community gardens, play areas and everything in between. “We’re looking forward to learning the results of the customer vote and then supporting each group to bring their project to life.” Funding is available to community groups and charities looking to fund local projects that bring benefits to communities. Anyone can nominate a project and organisations can apply online. To find out more visit www.tesco.com/bagsofhelp

STEPS to help save a much-loved community building, and protect it for years to come, have been taken by Sheffield City Council and the local community.

so hard with the Council to get us to this point. We have an ambition to make the building more sustainable and secure its place in the community for years to come.”

The Inman Pavilion, overlooking Oxley Park in Stocksbridge, has hosted local groups and clubs since the 1950’s but is in need of significant upgrade and improvement.

Local councillor Richard Crowther added: “The pavilion and all the groups that use it are important to our community and we will continue working hard to help keep it going long into the future. If you live in Stocksbridge but don’t currently use the pavilion, I’d encourage you to pop up and see what’s going on.”

Sheffield City Council’s Cabinet, acting as the Trustees of the Oxley Park charitable trust, is set to agree a new 25-year lease to the Garden Village Community Association at a nominal rent. The Community Association, which is also a charity, originally built the pavilion in the 1950’s on land owned by the Oxley Park Trust and has successfully operated and repaired it since then. It has now asked for a much longer lease to enable bids to be made for external funding to support a number of improvements, including a re-wire, recladding of the building and preservation of the parquet floor, and energy efficiency works. The renewal of the lease helps to guarantee the future of activities such as the out-of-school science club, line dancing classes and children’s choir which currently run from the pavilion. Beryl Sharp, chairman of the Garden Village Community Association, said: “We are delighted that the lease has been extended as this gives us much more scope to bid for much-needed funding to retrofit the building, so the hard work starts here! “It’s a bit like stepping into the Tardis - it looks small on the outside but it’s so spacious inside. Councillor Ben Curran, Cabinet Member for Finance and Resources at Sheffield City Council, said: “The council will always do what it can to help strengthen our communities and having social groups like this is a big thing. I’m very pleased to support the efforts to sustain and boost this much loved pavilion.

DENNIS Pindar, Trust member at the Stocksbridge Community Leisure Centre, was pleased to be presented with a cheque from the Stocksbridge and District Golf Club retiring captain Mr Roy Myers as his charity recipients of his year. In his thanks, Dennis Pindar proposed that the money would go to the fund for the changing rooms upgrade and refurbishment.

Flames help thousands of customers FLAMES of Sheffield have helped more than 3,700 customers with their fire, fireplace, stove and central heating needs since they first opened their doors in 2005. “Although the Autumn was a very busy time for us in terms of fires, fireplaces, stoves and central heating, as we start to come out of Winter and begin to enter Spring, it is a great time to look at having any home improvements completed, especially as we have many great offers available in our Hot Winter Sale,” commented Director Lee Day. There are great household savings to be made by installing an ‘A’ rated energy efficient central heating boiler, with the average saving being of between £300 to £400 per year. A solid fuel stove is also a great way to cut down on gas usage in many homes and, as long as the stove is DEFRA Approved and the correct fuel like seasoned/kiln dried timber or smokeless coal is used, then this again can be a great alternative to heat large areas of a home. “Many of the solid fuel stoves being used in Sheffield and the surrounding areas have almost certainly not been installed by a qualified HETAS engineer. This can lead to many problems and issues in terms of home insurance being invalidated, being incorrectly sealed and fumes leaking into the room(s) or building regulations visiting and insisting a stove is removed due to noncompliance. At Flames of Sheffield we offer a complete project managed service from start to finish for a customer and are happy to take responsibility for installing and certificating a solid fuel stove or fire/fireplace”, explained Senior Sales Advisor Helen Gowling. Flames of Sheffield are able offer a different proposition to the majority of central heating installers as they operate from their Hillsborough Barracks bricks and mortar showroom, are open seven days a week, are not just a mobile number

Setting up a Pre–Paid Funeral Plan

Co-op Funeralcare pre-paid plans

Having a pre-paid plan in place takes away the financial and emotional burden from your family at the time when they are least able to cope.

This is very easy and completion of your plan application is very simple and straightforward.

These are already exceptionally well priced, but unlike other providers, their plans INCLUDE ALL THIRD PARTY COSTS AND DISBURSEMENTS, so there will never be any more to pay for the services included in your Plan.

It makes the whole process much easier for the people you leave behind and it puts in black and white exactly what you want to happen, avoiding any misunderstanding.

There are a variety of plans and payment alternatives to suit everyone. There are no age or health restrictions and no hidden costs. This can all be done in the comfort of your own home by arranging a meeting with either of us.

Have your say...

I am writing to explain the proposals for children’s services in the city and specifically as to the future of Angram Bank that the Council has recently been consulting on. I want to make it clear that the Angram Bank Centre will not be closing and will still be delivering services as it is doing now, but that there will be improvements in the scope and reach of the services provided in the locality. I very much appreciate that all of the ward councillors have been quick to give reassurances that this is the case, and they are right to do so. The Labour Council’s vision is that every child, young person and family achieve their full potential. Research shows that help in the early years can positively change children’s lives. We continually review the way we work to ensure that the best possible services are provided across the City. At present the city is divided into 16 geographical Children Centre Areas with services specifically for families and children of 0 to five years. We are proposing to divide the City into seven geographical areas (to tie into the seven schools Locality Areas) and to change the Centres to become Family Centres 0 - 19 (or 25 years for young people with a disability). All services delivered in the seven localities will be subject to Ofsted inspection. The proposed changes will actually allow more people to access services through increased outreach and partnership work, bringing services closer to people in a range of buildings - including church halls, GP clinics, schools and even in family homes in each of the seven localities. We are proposing these changes to deliver an improved service not to cut costs. The changes will actually allow more people to access services through increased outreach and partnership work, bringing services closer to people. In a range of buildings - including church halls, GP clinics, schools and even in family homes in each of the seven localities. Angram Bank Centre will continue to have serv-

ices delivered from it, as will other existing centres across the city, despite what you may have falsely heard from the Liberal Democrats. Our consultation on these proposals has run over 90 days and finished on January 31, we consulted with parents, carers, professionals and communities in a variety of ways. All the responses will be analysed before any decisions are made. I hope that this letter goes someway to reassuring you about the future of Children’s services across all areas of the city, and especially the part that Angram Bank will play in ensuring children services are provided. All good wishes, Cllr Jackie Drayton, Cabinet Member for Children, Young People and Families.

Halfway hotels Dear editor,

Dear Sir, A few days ago a friend passed on to me, among other things, a copy of ‘English Dance and Song’ magazine dated June/July 1952. I was thrilled to see a mention of my dad, Dick Shepherd, in the listings: ‘June 21st. Barn Dance at Welfare Hall, High Green. 7 to 11pm. Caller: Mr. D. Shepherd’. I would love to hear from anyone who has memories of my Dad and Folk Dancing in the area. My Dad taught evening classes as well as being a teacher at Monteney Primary School, a member of Grenoside Sword and Morris Teams and the Director of the first Grenoside Folk Festival in 1951. For the latter, he devised the Grenoside Processional Dance, which is still danced today in various places. I hadn’t realised how far back my family’s connection with the High Green Miners’ Welfare Hall went. As some of you will know, I have also been a dance caller there in recent years. In 1987 my brother (fiddle player Dave Shepherd) played in the hall with his band Blowzabella (to be seen in Holmfirth at the end of April). A more recent venture has been our Showcase Folk sessions which raise money for local causes. The next one is on Sunday March 19, 3.30pm to 5.30pm. Refreshments are available and donations will be gratefully received. The theme is ‘Songs of the Sea (and rivers and ponds!) - singers, musicians and audience will be very welcome! The snowdrops would make a brilliant calendar photo and we are already asking for you to take new ones ready for next year. We know you weren’t as happy with the quality of the calendar this year so we are hoping to improve things for 2018. Please send your photos to the email addresses below (no hard copies) and make sure they are taken with a good quality camera. Tell us where the shot was taken and remember – local scenes only. Irresponsible dog owners I am writing to let off steam! I have just walked up Townsend Lane/Royd Lane, Deepcar. There are always piles of dog dirt on the pavement, but there is now a growing number of plastic bags containing dog excrement, that have been dropped onto the pavement. What is it with these irresponsible owners who have no respect for their environment, or their fellow citizens? More to the point they are also causing a health hazard and committing a crime. If you are not prepared to be a responsible dog owner then don’t have one. I do realise that the majority of owners do clear up after their dogs, otherwise we would be in a very much worse state than we are now. Janis Conway, Deepcar

Which cloud in Cloud Cuckoo Land do our city councillors live in? I refer to the proposal of city councillor John Booker of building ‘halfway hotels’ to prevent ‘bed blocking in the NHS. The basic hotel unit will, after building and preparing for us, still necessitate providing the employment of cleaners, support workers, care staff, kitchen staff, clerical staff and management. Or does he envisage stuffing a patient in a bed and walking away? If you can’t see them, forget about them! On top of this of course is essential maintenance provision. Has he researched his proposal in sufficient depth to realise that to a great extent Sheffield City Council used to provide the essential necessary care cover for such unfortunate patients in care homes? Place names such as Sevenfields, Thornlea, Newton Grange, Hurlfield, Tannery Lodge and more all spring to mind – where are they now? We seem to have escaped a severe winter (fingers Closed because Sheffield City Council couldn’t af- crossed) and the spring plants are beginning to ford to run them. bloom. Sincerely, We hope you have noticed the delightful snowG Newbould.

LET’S face it, we all feel tired and worn down by the trials and tribulations of life itself. But there are some red flags that many people write off as simply part and parcel of the human experience, when they could be something more serious. Take a note of the following. If you see warning lights we recommend seeing a doctor. Poor sleep pattern Sleep is about getting all-round rest, and is vital if you’re going to fend of illness. Often if we’re having difficulty nodding off it’s due to the amount of the hormone cortisol in our body, so basically try to de-stress before bed to combat this.

Incessant itching Rashes and skin irritations are par for the course of doing many things in many situations, however it could be another important warning sign. Liver disease is incredibly hard to detect until it’s often too late, but excessive itching does occur in some sufferers.

Dark urine throughout the day

expe rie your nce it self !

A heavy night’s boozing will lead to some pretty nasty toilet trips, but your urine should really be as clear as possible, particularly later in the day. The darker it is the more dehydrated you are, so start by guzzling water, and if that doesn’t work look into it further.

Snoring Sleep apnea has gone from little-known condition to all-over-the-papers in the last couple of years,

and the evidence isn’t up for discussion. Although snoring is usually benign, it can be the sign of this sleep disorder which could lead to hypertension and heart failure.

Constant exhaustion This is particularly difficult to pin-point in the modern world because everything is so intense it’s any wonder we have any energy left, ever. However, if tiredness is becoming chronic then it might be worth checking it out- from thyroids to burnt out adrenal glands it could be a problem that needs to be addressed.

Cracked lips Cheilitis, or cracked lips, could mean you have a deficiency in B vitamins, with the lack of B12 a culprit in particular. This is pretty easy to rectify with supplements or a change of diet, including the use of more nutritional yeast where possible.

Apple-shape Many people are carrying a few extra pounds around with them, but did you know one type of overweight is more dangerous than the other. Those with apple curves- more fat around their waist and belly- are at a higher risk of heart disease.

Wheelers start time trial season THE racing season got off to a flying start last weekend for members of Birdwell Wheelers. On Saturday in the first event at the new cycle circuit at Sandal, Wheeler Shaun Dolby rode in the 40 lap category 2/3/4 race organised by Barnsley Road Club. Two riders went away from the off and stayed away for the whole race. At half distance Dolby managed to get into a break of four riders but they were unable to shake off the pursuing group. With five laps to go two more riders broke away and in the ensuing sprint Dolby finished in a top10 place. On the same day Trevor Mayne rode Matlock CC’s 21-mile time trial on one of his favourite hilly courses. His time of 1:01.33 was good enough for sixth veteran and 12th overall. The following day Wheelers Dan Taylor, junior Tom Booth and Greg Godley rode in Featherstone CC’s 10-mile time trial at Fairburn. Taylor finished fifth in 22.40, Booth was 14th in 23.40 which placed him first junior in a new course personal best and Godley also achieved a course personal best in 25.43.

Back-to-back wins for Church

PENISTONE Church scored eight goals in two games this week as they recorded wins in the league and NCEL League Cup. On Wednesday, two goals apiece from Brett Lovell and Andy Ring, along with a Lewis Dickinson strike saw Church beat Teversal 5-1 in the quarter final of the cup.

Then, in Saturday, Andy Ring, Ben Rhodes and Brett Lovell were on target in a 3-0 defeat of Rossington Main. Speaking after the Rossington win, manager Ian Richards said: “Today was one of the most satisfying performances and results of the season, we were playing against a good Rossington side, you can see why they’ve picked up, and you can see why they’ve beaten teams from a higher league position like Hallam recently. “They were well organised they were hard working the manager had set them up to match our four-three-three but we just controlled the game for the full ninety minutes, it was a complete performance, I just thought we were excellent. “We got the two goals early on and we just didn’t let them back in, they didn’t have a shot on target till the 85th minute and that was a weak attempt which Adam Rhodes dealt with easily. It’s so pleasing how we have gone about our business today. We had the disappointment against Hall Road but the response again has been second to none, 5-1 on Wednesday with five changes and changes again today and a 3-0 and another clean sheet.

Cricket in the valley

“It’s still the highest number of clean sheets in the league, I think that’s fifteen in the league and twenty in all competitions, still the fewest amount of goals conceded.”

Going strong at 82 PENISTONE Footpath Runner Norman Cole achieved the hugely impressive landmark of his 200th Barnsley parkrun at the weekend, at the tender age of 82. Winning his age category at every event, this means the veteran has clocked up 100,000 metres in the process. Five runners made the journey across to Anglesey for the island’s half marathon. Andy Heppenstall and Martin Ball ran a well-paced 85.15 together, with Ball finishing second in the M45 category. Martin Cooper ran 91.34 and Jill Carlton clocked 111.28. The Norton nine-mile road race saw the next leg of the club’s road championship. First back for the club and second overall was Scott Hinchcliffe who finished in a storming time of 50.41.

CRICKET is returning to Stocksbridge for the 2017 season and Stocksbridge Cricket Club are looking to recruit new and former cricketers to the club for the upcoming season. They currently have two senior teams playing in the Yorkshire and Derbyshire League on a Saturday afternoon. No matter what your ability please come along to senior nets on a Thursday night at Petre Street, 8pm to 9pm. For more information, please contact first team captain Pete Broomhead on 07760355734, second team captain Chris Ogley on 07504972060, or committee members Andy Hibbert on 07754186130 and Mark Wingfield on 07534530298.

Sam Shaw was third lady overall, taking the senior lady club record for the distance. Club category records were also broken by Julie Darigala (F45), Steve Storey (V60), Bill Phillips (V65) and David Needham (V70). There were age category race wins on the day for Needham and Sue Higham (F65). Two club members took part in the Trafford 10k. Richard Hayes ran 36.33 whilst Simon Pike ran a season’s best 38.43. The Hope Winter Fell Race saw seven runners travel over to take part in the BS classified 5.9 mile event. First back for club was Damian Kiplin in 18th overall and Barbara Haigh finish first in the F70 category. Keith Gordon finished first V65 at the Newton’s Fraction Half Marathon in Grantham in a time of 108.30. The club put out a fantastic male team to win the men’s team championship at the Yorkshire Vets 39th Cross Country Championship.

Norman Cole The team was S. Dimelow, D. Kiplin, R. Mackie, R. Clough, M. Quinn, P. Knight, M. Riordan, A. Sheil, S. Walker, J. Lawcock, G. Dean, I. Sutcliffe and P. Fryers. The ladies also put a V35-44 team out to finish seventh in their team competition with L. Latchem, H. Parkin and L. Hinchliffe. Two club members completed the High Peak Marathon, an overnight race of 42 miles around the Derwent Watershed in the High Peak District, a team event with each team consisting of four runners, Sarah Jones Morris and Brent Lindsay were in team 28 `Night Club’, finishing 25th overall in a time of 13:20.55.

CUP RUN: Jack Muldoon, left, will be hoping to lift yet more silverware with Lincoln City, but this time in the FA Cup. FORMER Stocksbridge Park Steels striker will be looking to be part of a second giant-killing this weekend as his side Lincoln City take on Arsenal in the FA Cup at the Emirates Stadium. Muldoon was part of the starting line-up that caused an upset against Burnley in the previous round and will be hoping that they can continue their magnificent run. The 27-year-old from Scunthorpe played for Stocksbridge Park Steels between 2010

and 2012, striking up a successful partnership with Scott Hogan, who now plies his trade at Aston Villa. Since leaving Steels, the pacy striker has enjoyed spells at Worksop Town and Sheffield FC before moving to Rochdale at the same time as Hogan. His career hasn’t taken off in quite the same way as his former team mate’s but he has since secured a regular starting place

with Lincoln City, scoring 12 goals in 66 appearances. Arsenal just about saw off another nonleague side, Sutton United, in the last round although it was a somewhat unconvincing performance. The Imps will go into the tie with all of the pressure off them and will be looking to cause another upset to get into the semifinals.
